The telescopic material handling arm is plastic, but the stick and boom where it extends for more reach is all die-cast.

Not black on the real machine.

You can easily paint over it with Tamiya flat black paint. It blends 100% the same with the black on the backhoe.

This channel should update their rating system. It's not a very good model. The movement is hardly engineered in, its almost an afterthought. I bet this model was supposed to be a statue at first. Yes the black makes it look cool but the giant silver rivets make it look cheap and ugly, somethings don't translate well as a model. This model could be forgiven, if it was priced accordingly. over $100 is insane.
