so NOT joking, i've recently started an online course for medical neuroscience and i'm having trouble with the C.N topic, so far it's been the hardest topic for me to face; anyway, i'm trying to find out how the f*** i'm gonna find a way to work them 12 nerves out and memorize, not to mention LEARN their functions. and then i came across this awosme video, and guys, you've helped me so much i can't thank you enough. important thing to clarigy - english is my 2nd language so its hard for me as it is. second thing is that i'm looking into local (ISRAEL) educational programmes for the study of the brain, and this is me preparing myself and indulging my curiousity - so i dont actually get a formal education of the neuroscience stuff, im studying the science by myself and through online resources galore. so this short but perfect video clip here is such a great resource for me, i cant tell you just how much. so, for the last time now lol you rock, thanks, and the production was freaking epic! im laughing out l;oud each and every time

Super cool! Only ohne question: why are you singing A Fin AND (N.vestibulocochlearis) German Viewed SOME (N.accessorius) hops???
@UTSWneurology7 жыл бұрын
The song is a mnemonic device so the first letter in each word is the first letter of each of the cranial nerves.
@bibo91257 жыл бұрын
+UTSWneurology thanks, I got this, maybe my question was not clear enough...this would mean nerve 8 should beginn with an A instead of an V for vestibulcochlearis and the 11th with an S instead of A for accensorius ??? I dont get this point... bye
@lollypop03286 жыл бұрын
Bibo the S is because it’s spinal accessory nerve and A because the vestibulocochlear is also referred as the acoustic nerve.

First one tells you the names. Second one tells you the functions. Both are in order from cranial nerve I down to XII On (Olfactory) Old (Optic) Olympus' (Ocularmotor) Towering (Trochlear) Top (Trigeminal) A (Abducens) Finn (Facial) And (Auditory/Vestibulocochlear) German (Glossopharyngeal) Viewed (Vagus) Some (Spinal Accessory) Hops (Hypoglossal) Some (sensory) Say (sensory) Marry (motor) Money (motor) But (both) My (motor) Brother (Both) Says (sensory) Big (both) Brains (both) Matter (motor) More (motor)
