Hi Mike... I think the Cedarslink adapter may be made for a bigger truss system, but I'm not sure what that would be, because I've only worked with smaller systems. What I do know is that is that the description for this T ADAP. on amazon says that it will fit on any fixed tripod pole from 35 to 40 mm diameter. The equivalent of that in inches is 1.38 inches to 1.57 inches. I believe these T ADAP.'s are more for using on an Ultimate Support style light stand, which have always used a 1.5" diameter pole. I bought my first Ultimate support stand in 1981 to use for lights in a band. The 1.5" pole has been the standard size pole for the vast majority of tripod lighting stands ever since. I still have the first stand that I bought in 81, and it still works great. I've had 15 ft. of 14 in. truss on the standard 1.5"dia. Ultimate support stands with approx. 75 to 125 pounds of lights on these stands over the years with no problems. (Actually the only problem has been lifting all that weight, without a crank on the stand. LOL) Great video's by the way. I find them to be very helpful trying to find out what's out there today, for lighting.

Hey, thanks for watching and I appreciate your insights. I agree there must be another stand system to be used with the Cedar's Link T-adapter to have that much play on a critical connect point on a modern stand system! I do appreciate the attempt to standardize the stand systems whether it be for speaker systems, trussing etc... and look forward to the future of these systems to see where we go next. The new collapsible clamping systems and cable tie systems are definitely a step in the right direction 👌

Hi Mike...Nice video. Are any of these Steel or are they all aluminum? I'm looking for something that I could use a magnet with to mount a couple of Ape Labs cans.
