I made a crankbait. Tested it in the tub. It rolls alot. I havent put weights in it but I think thatd help keep it stable.

actually a less angle of the bill will result in deeper diving, That's why square bill crank baits generally a shallow diving with steep angle bills. as well with regular bills.

Sorry to contradict Nate, but diving lip angle has almost nothing to do with diving depth. It's the oldest misunderstanding in crankbait design. Diving depth is about the length of lip (and also width, but less so). Lip angle affects the direction of the downwards force , so a horizontal lip spills water pressure and stabilizes lure action. You need a big lip to get deep, but it needs to be horizontal or the action gets unstable. Square bills dive deeper than equivalent round bills because there is greater surface area forward of the tow point - nothing to do with lip angle.
