Ethan you should be comforted to know despite how scary they look, shoebill storks are one of the calmest, most polite birds ever, and birds can be downright cruel, but this particular species is friendly, social, and happen to surprisingly enjoy the company of humans regularly, where most birds barely tolerate us. That loud sound it makes is actually a happy greeting sound, think of it like a purr from a cat, or the way dogs shiver, vibrate and whine when excited, or rats grind their teeth and bug out their eyes when comfortable (called "bruxxing" and "eye boggling"). Every animal has such different ways of showing feelings, one animal's "hello" may sound threatening to another animal, like ourselves lol. This is how this bird shows excitement, most likely for greeting the person who feeds and cares for it at this place it's being kept. Amazing that such a large and formidable bird is actually so docile, when some of the smalest birds on the planet can be absolutely brutal, to each other and other animals.

@laurenladybird2 жыл бұрын
There was a point in time when my aunt had about 300 chickens. Chickens can only fly for about 12 seconds, but they will use all twelve of those seconds spent aloft to go straight for your head. They also hate pink and will peck your feet if you have pink boots on. Maybe that was just our chickens. This is an accurate representation of the terror you experience when you have too many chickens.

@isabellanotaworry91562 жыл бұрын
I have 6 chickens and if you train them to respond to a call (like I did), they do exactly what happened in the video :) When you give chickens attention and are patient and gentle with them, they are amazing friendly animals that won't attempt to bother or annoy you or your other animals. After the 2-year-old stage of course. :)
