Sorry, but I’m calling BS on any claim that those double trouble hooks can go through grass and not snag or pull up grass with the lure. Notice how the underwater photography here showed the lure bouncing off of rocks and logs, but did not show this crankbait going through grass. The reason is because it would have lots of vegetation stuck to the hook, contrary of the claim in this video. If this truly could work effectively without snagging or grabbing vegetation through a grass bed, they certainly would’ve shown it, but they very clearly did not. Exposed hooks will snag vegetation. The bill isn’t going to prevent that from happening. When I throw a Panther Martin into a weeded area of a trout stream, it comes back with foot-long green streamers attached to the treble hook and the blade does act to deflect the bottom from the hook to some extent. It is well known that the blade spinning directly on the spinner shaft of a Panther Martin results in fewer snags then other spinners like a Rooster Tail or Mepps that has the blade spinning on a separate wire loop. If a Panther Martin‘s spinning blade can’t deflect grass then I don’t see how a solid bill that does not fully block the two hooks behind it can either.

Yet, another bait for everyone to buy. It's like new drivers if you're a golfer promising you straighter shots or 5-10 more yards off the tee.
