Sweet man, gonna try that out tonight, opening day yesterday and my 12 year old son caught a 27 1/4 bottom bouncing worm harness , his PB, was a good start to the season

I love livescope for trollimg, u can see exactly where the bait is at and usually it's not where u think it would be . with this u can put it where u want it without any guessing. game changer

I'm running a livescope on my garmin trolling motor and a humminbird mega live on my rear console side gunnel. It works awesome. I pull cranks in shallow water on lakes with hard breaks. And having the livescope on the trolling motor is key to staying in my target depth.

Thanks Clayton! From what I know of live imagining I would go with Garmin if I were starting from scratch, but since I already have a Lowrance head unit, I'm half way there. I appreciate your time and opinion on this.

I've been trolling since I was a kid so a good 35 years. It's just what my dad, Uncles and his friends did so I had to. I honestly love it. Especially the older I get. I have livescope now but have had the precision trolling app (used to have a spreadsheet and book) for many years. You have to use 10lb berkley or 12lb big game line. But it is deadly accurate. You can watch videos on how these guys get the depths for each lures. They actually get in the water with diving gear and the other guy trolls by. Lol It's an amazing app. If you buy the lifetime you get all the lures they have already ,tons, and updates on new lures for life. So worth it.

I found out that walleye will follow a bait for a bit. And sometimes you can produce a strike by falling back on your bait just a small pause and then pulling it away from the fish . Works on many species of fish.

Hi Clay, love your videos! I noticed that like me, you also jig with your left hand and reel with your right. I'm looking into tillers, and it looks like they're all set up where you also have to steer with your left. Have you seen any where the floorplan is flipped around and you steer with your right hand, or is it one of those things where you just have to adjust?

Your videos are very informative and fun to watch. May I ask what your thoughts are on using a very small swivel snap when fishing for Walleye? Even when jigging. Seems like the online search results are mixed. Many thanks!!

Today, this woman got me to net her walleye for her. Long story short i could tell from first glance it was over slot as she hounded that she wanted it regardless. I bump boarded it for her at 3 or four inches over slot, let it go and she proceeded to go absolutely nuts. Some people simply won't obey

Suprised to see you on an upwind troll without the bowmount and the motor?? I get really good control in the wind using both but then again I'm on a kicker and bowmount the big engine is probably too much for both????

Hey Clayton, I got a quick question for you. Do you know about or have any opinion on lowrances active target2 live imaging? Have an opportunity to purchase a transducer to go with my lowrance head unit.
@ClaytonSchickOutdoors8 ай бұрын
I don't much about Active target, but here is what I can tell you. Livescope from Garmin is 10x ahead of both Mega Live and Active Target BUT it doesn't mean it's not a good option or choice for you if you have a Lowrance unit that will run it. Any Live imaging is better than no live imaging, BUT like I said earlier it's not even close to what Livescope is, so just don't expect it to be. I would say go for it!! Hope that helps :)
