I can't afford to use shiners being on disability they are just too expensive. I raise my own worms for my cat fishing . Not many ponds left here in South Alabama any more, most of the folks I knew that had ponds have gone on to be with the Lord. What your doing is a great idea.

@lindamartin8614 mobile bay has become a sewer dump all the chemical plants further north is dumping in the rivers and from there to the bay. Eastern shore is another problem with raw sewage. Money is blinding

I usually just fish crappie through the ice, i don't open water target em anymore. I stick to nightcrawlers, my yard is full of em and I can pick 20+ dozen in an hour or so. I mainly target perch, bluegill, walleye, catfish and trout in SW Wisconsin. Great looking pond and awesome way to save on bait👍

Yeah, I would relocate those Bluegill to a cleaning board, then to the kitchen. That is the best location I can think of. By the way, I have tied up a few of the "Perfect Crappie Minnow Jigs" and tweaked them just a tiny bit for my area. Thank you for that video, I have it saved should I need it in the future. Really enjoy your channel, thanks for going to the time and trouble to do it.

I got my bait dealers license in tn it was like 30 bucks and the minnow tuck brings them to me for 12 bucks a pound. I got some in my pond from 3yrs ago that are 10 to 12 inches long

I get fishing crappie with minnows. I used to but now all I need is a 2” sparkling chartreuse green Mr. Twister Tail on a 1/32 oz. yellow jig head on 4 lb. line. Works every time. but then again that makes it harder to drink your beer.

Same here, been using jigs about 20 years but still like minnows sometimes.

I tried this a few years ago and it was so discouraging. I put so much time & energy into a 50 gallon drum set up with a recirculator & sprayer.....dechlorinator.....and every single minnow was dead the next morning lol

depending on how you received the fish. u most likely needed to drip acclimate them into your setup. normally you dont but, when the water difference is night and day even minnows will die. to give a reference its like entering into a pool. if you are walking down into the water you wont feel much. but if you are jumping from 10 floors down. to many things can go wrong when you hit the water. drip acclimating is basically you slowly moving yourself back down closer to the pol before entering it
