Thanks so much! I will definitely be doing that, spotted a few fish here and there in the normal staging areas already so it won't be long! Last year I didn't have livescope and was able to sight-fish crappie a for few days during the spawn they were so shallow! That was some fun!

Nice video and good comments about fishing on timber! I've found that there are fewer fish on sub-merged timber, but the bigger fish tend to hang on timber versus brushpiles. You can catch the big fish on brushpiles, you just have to weed through the smaller fish.

That's exactly what I've found on Darbonne in the winter time also! Loads of fish out in deep water over structure but the giants tend to stick to the mid-depths around the timber.

You could buy you a floating collapsible wire fish basket and cull your fish. They don't take up any space. $13 I use one when I'm dock fishing.

Thanks T LeB! I thought about getting one of those baskets last year and modifying it with tighter mesh to store my bait fish that I catch with the cast net. Might have get one this year! I've actually got a livewell in the boat also, but I just never use it for crappie because the limits are so high here. Now when I chase after largemouths or stripers I do use the livewell.

You have a nice speaking voice with a great delivery so don't be concerned about using voice-over when audio conditions on the water are problematic.

I'll definitely be doing more of the voice-over stuff in the future too when I'm trying to point out things that I've learned - or if I keep breaking microphones hahaha! Hopefully I can still fix enough audio stuff to have the original audio often also. I just love watching the videos with that on-the-water feel! Hearing the water hitting the bottom of the boat, other boats going by, birds squawking away, all that stuff!

Thanks Mark! For color, I like anything where the jig body is one color and the tail is a very different color (dark-color body and chartreuse tail is my favorite right now). But, more important than color for me is the jig size and profile. I've been using 1.5 inch soft plastics most days or very similar-sized hair jigs when I can get away with those. I'm going to start adding a little blip at the end of each video showing the packages/brands of the jigs I used that day so you guys can grab some if you want them. I don't know if the hair jigs are available everywhere because I buy from some local shops, but you could probably find something similar at a shop near you.

Hey Danny, here are the settings I run: Noise Reject: MEDIUM TVG: OFF Color Gain: Default Gain: Between 55-70 depending on water clarity (I change this almost every trip) Color Limit: Off Auto Depth/Distance: Off If you get a lot of grain you can try to turn down the gain and make sure all your connections are rock solid. Heard from some tournament bass fishing guys that cheap wires and bad splices can mess up the quality of the picture from this so I used high end wires/connections and soldered all my splices. Good luck out there and be sure to stop and say hey if you see me out there! I'm the one in the 40-year-old bass tracker that's got exposed wood all over it LOL!

Hey Ronnie, I'm not anchored in these but I'm using spot-lock on my trolling motor to keep me in place. I do anchor in the summer sometimes when I fish with the submersible lights because the little movement from the trolling motor can scare the fish.

Have you adjusted the "Boat Scale" option in the settings for the trolling motor? I have mine turned down to -2 or -3 most days because my boat is much smaller than what the trolling motor is actually rated to pull. That's something I adjust pretty regularly also. If it's a 10+mph windy day I'll usually go up to -1 or 0 so that it reacts faster/stronger with the wind.

Any chance we can see your rig set up? I see you are using a jig but I keep seeing two returns on your line one just about a foot above your Jig.

Hey Ricardo thanks for watching! That smaller return just above my jig is a split-shot weight I always put about a foot above the jig. It helps it sink faster and can also help you avoid getting hung up since the weight hits potential snags first. I will post a video of my three favorite jigs soon and show yall what I'm using out there and having success with. It differs from lake-to-lake but I have a few favorites on Lake Darbonne that generally work well.
