I used to make bespoke wedding gowns and specialized in remakes where I took a grandmother's/mother's vintage gown and remade them into more modern gowns. I learned really quickly that some people are unrealistic in their expectations, and because I didn't have a super famous name, I wasn't considered a designer. I was just making "homemade" dresses. I love your work, and dedication to these gowns, and I'm glad I discovered your channel!

Just wondering if you ever look these scammers up on the wedding announcement sites like Zola, Joy, and The Knot or even just Googling their names and the word "wedding"? Seems like if you could show the date and the bride in the dress that would be slam dunk proof she wore the dress and is scamming you.

I have been following you for quite awhile and see the time and care you put into the dresses you work on….and hard you work as a business owner. It is obvious you are so very authentic, transparent, and love what you do. Praying that she doesn’t steal your joy, peace of mind, let alone your money and reputation. Ugh, I empathize with you. At least you have communication with this person and there hope for a positive outcome. there are so many awful folks who put in orders and then do chargebacks just to get "free" items. It kills me that small business owners and artists are the ones suffering at the hands of these scammers. I hope they get the karma that's coming to them.

It sucks that she used it the way she did to lie to her bank, especially given the fact that I was already working on a refund for her and it had only been a few days. Ugh.

I would be interested in why she said it was a "fraudulent" charge? Is she saying that the item isnt what she thought she bought which is somewhat true but not to the point of fraudulent. Or that she didn't receive the item, also not true. Either of these you have proof against so you should win but its the time and lost sales. I would be curious to when her wedding actually is, is she trying to return it AFTER she wore it at her wedding or was the wedding called off?

I think she’s doing a use and return for sure. Please tell me you reached out to shop about the charge back because they will have your back. You have proof that you’ve been in contact with her and that she wanted to return it, so clearly it’s not fraudulent. ❤

Sadly this is a common scam. They get the item there is an issue wants refund asap. They will not return the dress but will also have the money.

please, pleas please update us! if you're able to I'd use her emails as proof of fraud including your photos of the dress and if you have footage or photos of the cleaning process you've done on it do that too. it's obviously especially since she's telling you one story then another she may have worn the dress, didn't like it, and now is trying to scam you. I hope everything falls in your favor because this lady sounds like a Karen bridezilla.
