They are cheackpoints. Just like a normal C crate but it doesn't brake. Most gem paths/skull routes don't have crates to brake so they put a steel crate there. If you spin the Steel C it will turn into a plain steel block and the checkpoint text that you see when you brake a C box will appear above the block. People ask me if you die and go back to one of these checkpoints and get stuck in the middle of the block. No you don't, you go on top of the block. Feel Free to ask questions?

Don't know if anyone else has encountered this, but there's a glitch at 2:01 that can catch you off guard sometimes (you simply fall through and die).

@adsasd276 You get the red gem in Deep Trouble for this stage The green gem in Flaming Passion for Gone Tomorrow The purple gem in High Time for Tomb Time The blue gem in Tomb Wader for Sphinxinator The yellow gem in Hang em high (10 relics needed) for Dino Might! And you need them all for Bug Lite.

This is about the best looking level in the game. I hear sound effect from other games. the birds sound like the ones from Gex 2. The dinosaur running sounds like the thing you have to push back in Sonic 4 (sonic & knuckles) clicking back.

you need the colored gem for the colored platform before you can head for it's path. so yes, you need the red gem before you can head to the red gem path in Bone Yard.

I managed to do it on my second try when I was running for the pink gem, but after that I haven't been able to survive the second run sequence (after the first checkpoint). I just keep running too slow whatever I do. Last bit was a struggle too. Had these problems in CB 2 also, that sometimes Crash couldn't run even remotely as fast as he needs.

There is a glitch in this level, get an Aku Aku mask then jump in the lava pool (the first one you see) then run behind the first dino and see what happens. lt's really weird.

ya know why the games started to suck after this (minus CTR) was because none of the games were like this or Crash 2. they added wayyy too much and CB games should never go beyond something like this. it gets stale real easily after this game and CTR. then the games started to suck. its a shame. the same thing is happening to Sonic. they're ruining their own games.
