At this level, with the jerk "hide boxes behind you at the start" trick. And that first left path, I LOVED discovering that as a kid. I looked at that pit and thought "you might be able to make that with a double-jump tornado spin". And after a few tries, it worked! I never expected the developers to actually hide stuff behind there though. That was such a nice touch. Oh right, the oil gem path. That one was always annoying.

As kids, we spend weeks trying to figure out where are the last 4 missing boxes. Whole school were searching level again and again to no avail. Untill someting hit me and after the start of the level i went back and found them. Become a hero of the school for discovering them lol.

Last one today. Tomorrow I'll finish the main story, then get started on time trials on Friday. I'm still not sure if I'll go for all platinums yet. We'll see how challenging the jetski and motorcycle levels are. Hopefully, I'll have the game finished during the weekend.

It seems much harder to gain lives in CB3 rather than the first 2. I got to 99 by Slippery Climb ironically in CB1 and by Sewer Or Later in CB2. I'm on the 5th warp room in CB3 and i just reached 50 :/

I'm still missing 2 boxes even after hitting nitro switch? I cannot seem to find them. I haven't gotten the blue gem yet, so I can't do that path, but I don't think that the 2 metal checkpoints in that path count towards the box count because you didn't hit them, and you still had every box? Help! =)

Secret Path with the purple door, go there, than at the end backtrack the other route, then finish the level .... this unlocks the nitros over there

In this game and the second crash game. There are levels with gem paths that require you to commit suicide to return to a certain part of the level to be able to get the boxes there. Garland basically got the check point box before he got to the blue gem route. That way he could commit suicide and return to that part of the level, to get boxes that would've been missed had he finished the blue gem route.

I really wish that if you Saved with Aku Aku still with you, then he stays when you start the game up again. That was my main gripe with the Crash Games. I had to redo an earlier level to get Aku Aku before starting a new one.

All on-foot levels in the remaster can be played with either Crash or Coco. In Crash 1 and 2, you can get Coco after beating the first boss while in Crash 3, you just have to interact with her in the warp room.
