Now that we have the yellow gem, we can go back and get both gems on this one. This is one of the tougher ones, as it's quite lengthy, has backtracking and some tricky parts. You can probably tell that I had practiced the chase on the yellow gem path and not the last one.

My favorite part of the level is when you have to backtrack through hazards with the camera only showing .00000000000001 inches behind you. That's my favorite part, said literally not a single person that ever existed.

The only thing you missed is that if you jump over the row of metal boxes at the end of the yellow gem route, you get 5 extra lives.

You know, I always wondered why they bothered putting the baby T-rex in this game. He only appears in this one stage, it's for such a brief moment, and he doesn't even do anything special. Could it really have been just a marketting ploy, so they'd have an excuse to put the T-rex on the box-art and in all the advertisements? The best I can figure is that maybe the T-rex was some kind of prototype for the Flut-Flut in Jak & Daxter. They do kind of move similarly, except the Flut-Flut was able to do a lot more.

Yep, it does. In the original Crash 1, it didn't count when the boulder ran over boxes. Also, there's a section in Crash 2 where the boulder just doesn't break boxes.

Back then when I rerun my Warped I choose to die after I get the box gem and then backtrack towards where the entry yellow platform was so I can go to the gem route again and then go to Eggipus Rex. But I can understand if you don't do that.

If you get 10 relics before fight n.tropy then get the yellow gem and enter this level to get crystal and both gems together instead take crystal in first enter and return for the gems.

I remember there being a big stack of lives behind the metal box wall at the end of the yellow gem path. They probably still exist in this version. Weird how the "belly flop Bonus" comes in the 3rd warp room, not the second. It'd make more sense in level one of warp room 2, right after you got the Super Bodyslam. I wonder if they originally had Double Jump and Super Bodyslam switched, swapping them because they thought giving you double jump early was too powerful? Had a feeling Bug Lite was next.

That was one of those cool things I always remembered as a kid. Thinking "Wait, can you jump that?", trying, and being rewarded for it. Kind of like the secret lives in Diggin' It's Bonus back in Crash 2. Not required for 100%, but a nice reward for experimenting.

This isn't the secret level. This is level 11: Dino Might. Eggipus Rex is the secret level accessed through this one. Let the second pterodactyl from 3:08 catch you.

The same as all the coloured platforms: collect the gem of that colour. In this case you need the yellow gem. In order to get it, you'll need to win any 10 relics by doing time trials. Then go to the centre of the warp room. An orange platform will have appeared which takes you to warp room 6. Level 27 is the alternate entrance to Hang'em High. Enter it and follow the path for the yellow gem.

I know they were in the original game, but the flowing water textures on top of the swamp water look pretty lazy in this remake. It would've made more sense and looked better if the terrain sloped down in those sections.

you need 15 relics, that makes the platform in centre of warp warm lift up. then do the aladin level in the hidden room. At the end you get yellow gem

@@solvesoul727 you need to eat the clock at start of every level and try to finish the round as fast as you can, if you kinda slow you get Sapphire and if you were fast you get Gold Relic. And when you collect 15 Relics you can go to the middle which will take you to Secret Rounds down and there you will have the Hang Em High round in which you'll get the yellow gem and once you've collected the yellow gem the yellow plate will form in the Dino Might round. Hope it helps lol
