I still, STILL have 270/272 at the end. I had the exact same amount of crates as you when I hit the nitro detonator crate. I'm going to scream. I haven't had fun in this game because of this shit.

theres a glitch with the nitro bat. i had to manually make them drop the nitro's to get them to count as the trigger didnt work on them

Wow ok the only complaint. How about the fact that the difficulty curve is spiked insanely hard. Or the fact that you need to be on your 1st life to get all the flashback tapes. The Flashback tapes is more of an issue than hidden boxes.

The biggest problem (for me at least) is the 3 death gems the perfection relics and the time trials relics (as in the have to be platinum in order to get the 106 ending instead of gold, like every other game in the series)

It’s very very hard finishing a level finding all boxes and not dying. It’s recommended you clear it first and then concentrate on finding all boxes, so you don’t have to worry about dying.

This is the level that made me delete this game. It was fun searching for the boxes that were only visible by panning the camera or by watching carefully, but these 6 boxes at the start are completely INVISIBLE. You just have to know where they are or spend an absurd amount of time to find them. Not worth it.

That's wild. I keep seeing people say this. I actually found those boxes on my first playthrough lol This level was so dope to me, because I could tell it was just plain hard lol It felt like an insane difficulty spike, but I look for those types of things, so it was fun. I kept playing through and then restarting, because every new part brings a new puzzle with a whole lot of execution. It's mad fun to me! I haven't even finished this video yet, because I kinda want to play all the sections on my own for the first time lol I was hoping to find a video of people talking about it lol

@@tonyp9313 Cortex Castle is pretty damn easy once you get used to it. Oh it was hell to get the flashback tape for sure, but after that I found I made very few mistakes, no perfect relic but there's far worse levels I'm amazed nobody has mentioned Bears Repeating, especially considering you have to do that awful controlling broken hitbox polar bear run 4 entire times, sure only 2 for the perfect but still just to get all boxes. That level is the reason i refuse to go for all perfect relics, at least not right now, if I ever try at all. There's challenge and there's just literal insanity, and this game is literal insanity

How on earth is anyone supposed to find that yellow gem naturally? I saw the boxes and knew what I had to do to get the box gem for this level. Hopped over, smashed the boxes, hopped back. There's no indication at all that that gem is there. I'm just a little salty.

After going back through the level you can actually see the yellow gem from the start of the level. The problem is that with all of the lights , the gem blends in and our eyes just glaze past it. Its still pretty bs since it hides it so well. Same with the ! box, once you get on the platform with it you can see it behind the barrel but just barely

Not to mock you, but the yellow gem is clearly visible in the start. The hidden gem is horribly hidden, alongside the 6 crates at the star. You cannot see them, even with the camera.

I found them both on my first run of the level, you guys just gotta double check behind and above everything. It makes sense to skip the vehicle section cuz of the box bridge and ofc you will double check above everybox. As for the ones behind the steps, these tricks have been in Crash ever since Crash 1 so that was predictable. The exclamation mark behind the barrel was visible to the right of the screen as soon as you got close to it

This game has so much bullshit with hitboxes it just sucks a hell of a lot of the fun out. Those barrels in the water, I land on the edge of one of them, character slides and falls into the water, nsane relic gone. Fuck off, alt f4. It just happens way too many times... Meanwhile on Crash 2/3 all platinums with even relevant worldwide times, but this one... Inaccurate af.
