You know you're getting old when you say " back in my day" or "these kids today" and the kids today really have no idea what it was like to live with the limitations we had back then, like no KZbin, no facebook, no high tech phones, no HD, no streaming movies like NetFlix, no digital pictures, no GPS, be kind rewind, payphones, movies that weren't based on anything, not having the rating system for TV shows like TVY7, and not being able to set up an appointment at the DMV like you can now online. That's just to name a few. That they really don't know how lucky they are. It makes you understand what the older generation when you were a kid where talking about when they would tell you "you don't know how lucky your generation has it". Remember when you were a kid and you would see old people talk about the old days. You thought that these people we call "grownups" had their shit together and knew what this thing we call "life" was really all about. You wondered what it will be like to be old. And then one day you realize, that you're old (a "grownup") yourself? And you come to realize the terrifying revelation that there really are no "grownups", just kids that got old and had kids of their own and know one really knows what the fuck is going on. Yes, with age comes wisdom, but not maturity (at least for most adults). God I need a drink.

Carlos Medrano I imagine it would follow a structure where in some episodes cortex makes a new animal mutation and crash has to stop it and revert it, and others were either crash or a main villain (bosses) have a small conflict and to solve it they enter a wacky adventure. The protagonists could have been crash, coco, tawna, Aku Aku, and polar, and the antagonists could have been the bosses of the games, cortex, nitrus brio, n gin and n tropy (in some episodes) and Uka Uka ( revealed later in the show)

The show has him in 11 minutes stories based on level themes or the endings in CTR but every now and then, there will be major episode of importance like say Crash finding a Colored Gem or Tawna managing to escape briefly and Crash making his way to Cortex's castle.

New update. According to producer Dave Siller, this was NOT a promo for a failed cartoon series, but a prototype intro and ending for the first game that Sony gave the thumbs down for (and yes Tiny and the Komodo Bros were planned for the first game before you point that out). Cool find. I like the idea of Crash in hand drawn format. Too bad Sony didn't (hence it's absence in the first game). I admit Crash in an 'Adventures of Sonic' or Earthworm Jim style cartoon series sounds like an ideal concept. Is that Jim Cummings by the way?

EDIT: This is not a 'pitched cartoon series' but rather a pitch for Crash Bandicoot to have 2D animated cutscenes instead. This was said by David Siller himself. Well, here it is. A Crash cartoon pitch. This might be the one Jason Rubin was talking about. This really looks like it was done at Universal Animation Studios... The same studio that produced Earthworm Jim and a bunch of Shitty Land Before Time sequels. This is the Bubsy Cartoon pitch done right. I'm actually shocked they didn't go for a 'Donkey Kong Country' cartoon approach, with really weird looking CG. Too bad we never saw an actual Crash Cartoon in the past. It seems like Universal really wanted it to happen...

To me it really doesn't fit the series. Crash was always a mix of wacky and edgy. This has no edge.

Not Naughty Dog edge but still something. But again, the opening understandably doesn't suck everyone into it and promises a good experience.
