You did two mistakes.1wheel should be turned in direction of towing. 2 never get out of the car when towed.

I don’t have anything to do off-road, that’s what roads are built for, and it is harder to steal a BMW than a Land Rover so I stick with the BMW, better fuel economy, faster, better majestic look, cheaper insurance, cheaper road tax.
