Is there a file where we can edit some of those keybindings? Like, who needs the chat history on F1, where it would make much more sense to have F1-4 be the 4 heroes. Things like that. Similarly, by the way, you can get rid of the annoying mushy textures by adjusting the PoolSize setting(s + PoolSizeLow/Medium/High) in the UDKGame/Config/UDKEngine.ini file. These are set really low. Just throw a couple more gigs of vram at them, like some factor of 1024. Just bump it up quite heavily. I put it on 8-10k. No more texture issues whatsoever.

Kind of a longshot but would you have any idea why the beam won't show while having it toggled to on, same thing happens with the outline in the item box nothing is outlined regardless of what quality I make it.

If I recall correctly there's an option somewhere related to this. Check options in the launcher as well as in game and see if you can find anything. Other than that I'm not sure. Hope you find a solution!

Cheers! I've never played DD from lvl 0 on my own as a friend got me into the game about 8 years ago and boosted me to lvl 74 I believe. Because DD has been out for so long and initially had a lower level cap than 100 it makes levelling on your own a bit problematic, or, it makes it super grindy and time consuming. In my opinion the best way to get started in DD is to have someone boost one of your heroes to lvl 78 so you can use Transcendent gear. It takes about 10 minutes. If they can give you a decent Trans set and a Trans DPS pet (Snowman or Airplane ideally) then you're able to do the XP boosting on Deeper Well (as shown in the end of the video) on your own with 4 heroes and in about an hour get them to lvl 90. That may seem like skipping on a large part of the game and missing out on the fun and the experience but I don't believe that's the case. You'll end up playing all of the same maps, just on a higher difficulty. At that level you're also able to fairly easily farm Divine Crystals which are a great source of mana and armor pieces too, so it gets you "in the game" so to speak. Almost the entire playerbase is somewhere in the endgame so having higher level heroes enables you do play with more people and find more relevant items in shops etc. A lot of the info out there is outdated and I'd love to make a video on how to progress, however I don't feel like I would be the right one to do it as I've never done it myself all the way from scratch. I'm much more inclined to just recommend the boosting as described above. Any kind endgame player can easily part with some Trans armor and a DPS pet for a start, it's everywhere and we can easily loot A LOT of it with little effort. If you can't find anyone to boost you then I'm happy to help, look out for my shop "1ManaShop4NewPlayers", it's open fairly often.

Thanks! It turns out those "glowing pillars" above the items only work in the tavern and not in game, not sure why that is or if there is any way to change it.

So is DD1 Redux just a better version of the original DD1?

Exactly, it's DD1 with many tweaks, new towers, new hero abilities, pets and so on. There's also a new difficulty level above NM called Ascension. I don't think it makes sense to play vanilla DD1 these days as Redux is definitely better and it seems like most people moved to Redux. If you have DD on Steam just go to Properties -> Betas -> change it to Redux and you're set. All gear and heroes will transfer over. A blinking neon sign that says "Open" ? That's the basement and not the Divine Forge. The forge should be available in your tavern somewhere, for example in the Original Tavern you enter a blue portal to get into a room that contains the Divine Forge.

@@atlas365tv7 It is unlocked when you get the Ultimate Defender achievement. It is an achievement you get for completing a lot of other achievements. There's a wiki article on which achievements you need. You can also look on Steam, all of the achievements listed prior to Ultimate Defender on the list are required for Ultimate Defender.

Can you make a video on best mana method making, for instance I can't afford a DC, but once I get 50B mana is no problem I can keep the DC selling going, keep 2 or 3 and sell one lol but greeting the 50B is the problem lol

You're right, once you get your first DC you won't be short on mana again. You can farm Coal on some of the winter themed maps (dungeondefenders.fandom.com/wiki/Coal) if you complete them on Nightmare difficulty. Completing the same maps on Medium or higher difficulty rewards Small Coal instead. Coal sell for anywhere between 25 and 50B a piece and Small Coal for 3-4B each. Both can also be sold at the Coal Forge for 10B (Coal) and 2B (Small Coal) so ideally sell them to players for more.
