Okay I need to clear up some misinformation. It's likely not gonna make a huge difference (I mean, who cares tbh) but Yaya did have story significance to CBNK3D. CBNK3D (as well as CNK2) actually have "cutscenes" (if you wanna call 'em that) and that is where all the story of these games is explained. It doesn't completely help that CNK2 and CBNK3D have essentially the same story except with a few details changed but I digress. Her story significance is virtually the same for both games. As for CBNK2 though, there's nothing in terms of story there, that's true. This might be coming off as nitpicky but I recently spent a little amount of time on the mobile games of Crash and made an effort to record and preserve all cutscenes of those games here on KZbin since nobody's done that before. So this just grinded my gears a little even though it's so disgustingly irrelevant

In fairness, her being confident and adorably excitable was established only in Nitro-Fueled, before that her personality was just summed up as "worried about deforestation". Already a step-up, I'd say. But yeah, I hope that she will get some more use in the future, now that she has a full design.

Five things I like about Yaya Panda that make her my 2nd main (first being Coco): 1. Her personality. Especially how she exaggerates how dangerous she is that she's a bear even though she's a small panda. 2. Her Vanelleope Von Schweets-like voice and attitude. 3. Her funny quotes and the way she says them, "I'M A PANDA!" 4. Her animations. Especially like how she does Kung Fu moves during her Trick Jumps, and how she claws out in her idle animation to try to look menacing. Also how excited she gets and jumps around in her podium animation. 5. Her design (I really like her hairstyle) and her outfit, especially her shoes. Wish they'd give some of Coco's skins those instead of just copying and pasting her default ones with slight edits all the time. I also like her exotic skin recolors, most notably Cupcake Yaya.

Yaya Panda is my number one favorite and the one I usually play in CTRNF. Yaya Panda is so adorable and when I seen she was available in the shop, I played for hours just so I could get enough coins to get her!!!

Oh so she didn't just exist to expand the roster with more unique solid female character designs, she actually had a story introduction in the game she first appeared in. That's really cool and makes me want to see more of her. With as often as Coco is in eastern themed levels it makes sense she'd be friends with a Panda Bear Girl.

Never knew much about Yaya until CTR-NF introduced her in the Christmas Grand Prix and oh boy her appearance and cuteness makes me want her to appear as a playable character in future Crash games along with Pasadena O'Possum since the two never appeared in other Crash games until CTR was introduced along with the Grands Prix (Yaya only appeared in the mobile games and Pasadena only appeared in Crash Tag-Team Racing from 2005 and the mobile games) Yaya might've learned her martial arts skills from Po A.K.A. Kung Fu Panda/ the Dragon Warrior

You know what would be a good legendary skin for Yaya Panda? A Chinese Warrior skin based on Mulan (1998). A good legendary skin recolour for Megumi would be Mischievous Circus Megumi based on Harley Quinn. Too bad there aren’t any news yet about new content drops for CTR NF. Actually Crash Nitro Kart 2 is a sequel to the mobile version of Crash Nitro Kart, which is a bare bones version of Crash Nitro Kart on GBA/N-Gage So the Crash racing mobile games go like this: Crash Nitro Kart > Crash Nitro Kart 2 > Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D > Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 2

Not sure if they are based on something but we do know that each of the Trophy Girls are named after real life people who were working in different Sony Computer Entertainment Studios around the world during the time of OG CTR's development which I think its quite neat: Ami named after Ami Matsumura-Blair, the marketing manager for Sony America. Isabella named after Isabelle Tomatis, the product manager for Sony Europe. Liz named after Elizabeth (Liz) Ashford, the PR Manager for Sony Europe. Megumi named after Megumi Hosoya, the product manager and marketing manager for Sony Japan. These also show why the characters have the nationalities that they have as well.
