The reason beamng is not perfect is because it’s actually still in development and they want everything to be perfect before they fully release it

I honestly don't ever think it will be "finished". But man BeamNG is already amazing. It only gets better every update. It's my favorite car game

This is cool! However, do you think using the same car each time won't be accurate? What I mean is, the real car being already damaged from the last one might impact the results of the next tests?

It definitely will, it’s why he does the side impacts later those really compromise the frame. But these probably take all day to make so just don’t mention that. Tbf this is actually what high end supercars do for crash testing. They just take 1 frame, crash it frontal, do what they have to do, then cut the entire damage off and do a side impact test or something. You can find videos of a Mercedes SLS crash testing like this.

There both realistic in there own realms however beaming deformation is arguably more realistic deformation aiming for real cars, and it nails it. But I love this channel too very nice work always thought of doing this as kid

The BeamNG wheel deformation is actuallt more realistic, if you look at a high speed crash, the wheel isnt usually badly deformed

there is a mod for the moonhawk that makes it a sedan, it would’ve made an almost perfect recreation of the clay car, I also wonder how expensive those clay cars are because they are very interesting

BeamNG doesnt have wheel damage or scratching it shows how it would look in a crash based on the actual impact and how it would drive if it still functions also BeamNG functions on nodes so any variation is because the nodes are different compared to the plastic model its not perfect by the stretch of the imagination but it is damn well close to being accurate
@lynnetteharper323 ай бұрын
