yeah people don't realize this is a concept album - its about humans relationship with god and what happens when people have a chance to question him in the afterlife -- and how god really doesnt have the answers either -- absolute masterpiece of an album that everyone missed the point of because of the 1 hit single (mmm mmmm mmmm mmmm)

@@schaperartThank You!!! I've listened to this album since I was 4, born in 89..its one of my favorites of all time, and listening as an adult it just opens up so much more..as I got older and started to see it wasn't just good vibes and punchy tracks, the points they make about God and us interacting are genius..
@SwampHagg66611 ай бұрын
So much yes. And even the silly lyrics in my mind have a very deeper meaning, wuestioning god and life and it's just beautiful. This is one of my favorites but like they kinda all are loo

There's not one song on this album that is not great. A rare thing for any band. The dummies are up there with the rest of the greats in my opinion.

I was a young teenager when this album was released. I listened to this every night for almost 2 years on my headphones when I went to bed. I know this entire album by heart. This was an album that even some of my friends parents loved when I let them listen to it. I've listened to many genres of music over the years and this is one of my favorite albums of all time. It's almost hard for me to listen to these songs now because it transports me back to a time when I was so young and innocent. It wasn't much later on that I started listening to lots of dark metal and depressing music for years. When I hear this it reminds me of how just beautiful artistic music made me so happy. I just want the band members to know that this masterpiece really did affect me in a very profound way emotionally it would help me escape to a beautiful place with my eyes closed listening to this on my headphones. You guys did an amazing job on this album and it really is criminally underrated. Thank you for such an amazing artistic creation.

This song is so good. Plus it kinda catches you off guard smack dab in the middle of an album full of jokey lyrics it sneaks in this soul crushingly sad masterpiece. Great song on a great album

[Verse 1] Running into you like this without warning Is like catching a sniff of tequila in the morning But I'll try, I'll try to keep my food down That's quite an after-taste that you've left Now that you're not around You can just pretend we're not in the same room Well, alright, I'll just mosey to the bathroom You flew by like a summer vacation And you left me with TV-movies and a messy kitchen [Hook] I think I'll disappear now, slip out sideways Just for awhile - but until then I'll stay in and sleep late, excuse me [Verse 2] I'll buy a fast car, I'll drive fast from here There's a beach I haven't seen since last year It's far, but I like night drives: It just makes it nicer when I do arrive [Hook] I think I'll disappear now, slip out sideways Just for awhile - but until then I'll stay in and sleep late, excuse me Aren't you going to miss me? Aren't you going to even say one thing to me anymore? [Verse 3] Well, you can bet that I'll forget how it was then: All the drives to your farm for the weekend But I've seen the swimsuit magazines And I've smelled tequila first thing in the morning [Hook] I think I'll disappear now, slip out sideways Just for awhile - but until then I'll stay in and sleep late, excuse me Aren't you going to miss me? Aren't you going to even say one thing to me anymore? One thing, to me anymore?

This song hits different has you get older I remember listening to this song at 13 I didn't truly understand it until now and it kinda fits what I'm going through not a break up but a divorce after 19 years of marriage. But anyway this is an awesome song .

@@lynncummings6049, something similar happened to me and I also realized this song described it to perfection, after all these years!.. When I was a kid at high school I already liked Crash Test Dummies, but this was just a funny song with unusual lyrics and far-fetched metaphors!.. 😄
