An interesting fact: After the N Sane Trilogy was released, one of the artists from the game, Keith Webb sent out a letter to Vicarious Visions on doing a Twinsanity remake with all of its cut content that was cut from the game, bringing back most of the people from the original game’s team to do so I don’t think that’s gonna happen now since Vicarious Visions is with Blizzard I think, but then again that is cool none of the less

I mean VV was and still is just a developer and only Activision (recent owner of Crash's IP and owner of VV since 2005 until 2021 when they merged with Blizzard; and yes, I know that Acti and Blizzard are technically the same company but they have 2 different managements) can decide what games from their IPs they're gonna greenlight. And looking at how poorly Twinsanity sold (it's one of the worst selling Crash games ever) and mixed reception of this title, it's no surprsing Activision don't want to publish it. If (and that's a big IF) Twinsanity is ever gonna come back, it'll be probably just a re-release/port 'cause doing that would be cheap and take way less development time than doing remaster or remake.

@@DawidCiszewski1 I doubt Activision would take it's initial release into consideration, given the games biggest sales hurdles at the time was being (almost blatantly) unfinished, and as such extremely glitchy due to time and budget restraints, along with being the immediate sequential release after Wrath of Cortex killed off most of the buzz for the series. Heck, even the mixed feelings of the initial release don't mean quite as much with the passing of the last 16 years, given Twinsanity is/has been almost universally considered by the fanbase to be the one of, if not THE, last good game in the series, which in and of itself would be good enough of a justification for an attempt to finish it for modern audiences. I'm not quite so naïve as to think Activision would greenlight something just because people ask for it, they likely won't take a gamble of *any* kind with the series after Crash 5s giant step down in sales from the N Sane trilogy, at least not for a while. But hey, it's still a nice thought to have.

We've been playing alot of Twinsanity alot and been holding this game deary ever since. Not only Is hold our nostalgic hearts but we still admire the Introduction to this "Acappella" the humans have been talking about and easy listen to the music. We heard rumours that everyone else like the N. Sane Trilogy; wants to have a Remastered version of this game only this time with all the cut content revived and retooled to become a full game that could've been but despite that we rather have more new original content then jsut remasters left and right and It get bored and tiresome afterwards and might save It for a different occasion depending hos this newer Crash's timeline goes out Since Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time was already a big hit and don't want to always relie on "Nostalgia" like a certain blue hedgehog.

Sanity Island *Cortex/Mecha-Bandicoot's Boss theme *Uka Uka's boss theme (Kind of an easy boss not gonna lie, but this song SLAPS!) *Slip-Slide Icecapades *N. Tropy and N. Brio's boss theme (This one sounds so weird and I love it.) *The Academy of Evil (Kinda spooky, not gonna lie) *Boiler Room Doom *Dingodile's boss theme *Crash's Portion of Classroom Chaos *Rooftop Rampage *Twinsanity Island (Both pieces, the one in Cortex's Lab and the main world. I agree with you on Classroom Chaos as Crash, it's pretty epic and actually one of my favorite Crash tracks of all time, Twinsanity Island both tracks and Rockslide Rumble which gives me good late game vibes.

Twinsanity's double jump is very good, but it's basically a cover up for Crash being way too heavy in the air to where you have to always rely on it, unlike previous games where you could confidently use single jumps. The double jump in Twinsanity also streamlines the platforming making it feel mindlessly easy giving you no reason to ever use slide jump(which is useless in this game), and the crouch jump doesn't exist in this game. So platforming is super basic and mindless.

I remember getting a PS2 with Twinsanity by one of my dad’s coworkers oddly enough. My brother never finished it, but I played it and enjoyed it. But the development history is always interesting to hear. Another great video Ben, it’s always good to see your opinions on the the internet. Still baffled how an E rated game got away with the phrase “are those real.” Matter of fact a lot of this game is just funnier out of context, like how cortex mistakes Nina for her daughter. Also the meme theme, which I believe the name of the theme has something to do with worms, yeah I got PTSD from early 2010 stormtrooper, you know exactly what I’m talking about. And the Nsanity island theme is calm but a banger. Great and funny stuff.

I have the unfortunate memory of both this game and Spyro: A Hero's Tail being for sale during a book fair at my old elementary school. I already owned a copy of A Hero's Tail but not Twinsanity, and I wanted to try and get one there. I'mma be a nitpicker for a moment: A Cappella is about using human noises to imitate other instruments. It isn't music without an instrument, as singing and human voices in general count as an instrument. Lyrics are basically just instructions for what mouth noises to make while singing notes. Anything really can count as an instrument as long as it can be used to create organized sound that is aiming to convey and express an idea of some sort.

Yeah... and even worse when you accidentally repeat story segments (that happend to me a lot). Sometimes the game dont have clearly indications of where you have to go and the "pseudo open world" dont work on its favour. Twinsanity has so many flaws that the PS2 mascots (Jak, Ratchet or Sly) or even Spyro that is of a generation before ironed out. Is strangelly that Twinsanity despite being more new, it feels more dated.

Crash Tag Team Racing was the true open world Crash game, plus on low key Warped did the open world gameplay first via the Hot Coco and the airplane levels. The way open world was done in Twinsanity makes it a poor man's Jak & Daxter game.

Great video, very cool, informative, and funny, glad you got to try it out, and I do feel educated about a lot of the games elements, bugs and flaws, and behind the scene stuff, like wow I didn't know twinsanity was THAT infamous in its development history, TO THIS DAY!.. K I wonder how that KZbin channel was given the rights to this day to show off cut cut scenes from the game.. It's really cool that's still happening today. Glad the dincodil, I'm sorry for boching that up, was as good as you said. Wow the music being done in THAT way was.... Twinsanity's story is a very hot mess. The Evil Twins are the most confusing main villains I've ever seen, probably fitting for how weird and random this game's plot is.

​@@nedalomar4216 Most of its plot points don't make any sense. The transition from one event to another is often awkward and feels incomplete. For example, what happens to Dingodile after Crash & Cortex destroyed his cabin house and he comes out of it telling them to answer about the treasure? After that cutscene he just disappears, then you leave Cortex laying on the snow and for whatever reason he's not with Crash as you venture to NGin's battleship. The story doesn't explain why Ntropy & Brio are randomly on the ice block where you randomly landed at in the middle of nowhere, and how did they know about the treasure, and again where was Cortex in all of this? Why did Cortex need Nina to fix his own machine after Coco got in their way? Why did Evil Crash suddenly come out of nowhere as soon as they teleported to the 10th dimension, and why did he suddenly disappear when you reach the end of Bandicoot Pursuit? There was no transition of him jumping on the platforms to get out of the hole in the cave. Why did evil Crash just fucked off somewhere after the end of 2nd Cortex chase section? Why didn't he just fight regular Crash after that? I know Spyro's appearance was just an Easter egg but why not just show him appearing there thru a portal, and where the hell did NGin, Ntropy, & Brio come from and get to where we at? Why did the Evil Twins just run away like cowards to just get eating by Evil Crash, when they could've just there mind powers to try and fight Crash & the gang? Where did Crash find the time to find & get Mecha Bandicoot that quickly? Lastly, how is Cortex teleporting which has never been explained? That's why this story's a mess to me, and it's most likely cause the whole game was super rushed so they put anything together in a hurry. Doesn't matter if it was comedic, it's clear that they wanted to make the story bigger than ever before showing a crap ton of ingame unskippable cutscenes to show us the plot as well as going into Cortex's backstory, so I'm holding them accountable for the story.

I'm definitely not a fan of this game teasing me of a lot of stuff that didn't make the cut, especially when it comes to the plot. This game was prime example of being too rushed to release at full $50 price and banking on just humor to sell itself which was a very risky & dumb move.

One more thing. I am impressed you didn't say that Twinsanity jumped the shark as some fans don't like it as they say this (& CTTR) wacky style affect the later series, Crash 4 & the remakes of the PS1 trilogy. Like how Sonic Colors affected the 2010s Era of Sonic & Boom, of course. Thoughts?

Crash's inability to speak while all the other characters in the series are portrayed as being quite talkative is one of my primary reasons for me not getting into the Crash Bandicoot franchise, even if the gameplay in some of the games (namely, the newer titles that have come out in recent years) is pretty good, especially since I prefer games with the main protagonist having personality instead of them being depicted as silent and mute. :P

Yeah as Twinsanity is a weird game but for the right reasons. XD You do make good points and CTTR does the open-world Crash game concept better but I still see Crash Twinsanity as a fun game to experience and to have a good laugh. ^^ And yeah the development behind the scenes of Twinsanity is quite interesting and a great way to bring together the Crash fandom. So, I assume Crash Tag Team Racing is your fav post-NG Crash game? And also how would you rank Twinsanity in a roster of Crash games you've played? (Unless you're saving the top games for later?)
