BEAMNG NEWS episode 130 (Special!) Top story: An unusual weather phenomenon has occured in East Coast - Despite the global warming still being a thing and winter already being over, it started snowing there! What's more, it won't stop snowing at all, the weather hasn't changed for the whole day! Nobody knows what could be a cause of this, and certainly nobody is used to it, as there had been no snow in East Coast for 2 years until now! The snow makes roads very slippery, which has caused numerous traffic crashes, the most destructive one being an ETK K-Series losing control and crashing right into a gas station, which caused the whole thing to blow up! Deputy McSpeed has been sent there, and guess what? Of course, he crashed his car again! Sheriff Bat Dummieson has gotten used to his constant accidents at this point, and this time it wasn't really the deputy's fault but rather the snow's fault, so the Sheriff wasn't even that angry. But what is causing this weird phenomenon? Scientists from the Wreckingham University believe that it's somehow connected to what started happening in Mammoth Valley a few months ago (it has been constantly snowing there since then, and nobody knows why). This new situation might help them gather some useful data, and maybe they will solve this weird weather mystery thanks to it! In other news: A well-known car rights activist and a polititian, Steve Car, has left the Area 99 prison yesterday as his punishment has ended. He is a yellow Skoda 130 GL with a HKC-12-50 license plate. Before he got arrested, he was well-known in the whole country for his slightly controversial speeches, and he was a leader of the Car Rights Party. In the latest presidsntial election, he was the 3rd most popular candidate, and at first it seemed that he was on a good way to become the first car president ever! However, due to the controversial nature of his personal opinions, most dummies and humans stopped supporting him, and mostly cars stayed loyal. On the day of the announcement of the results of the 1st round of the election, Steve Car was arrested on Cadort Island for trying to storm the building of the Ministry of Elections! He wasn't alone there - a few villains who work for Darkstig were trying to do the same thing, which is why everyone thought he worked for Darkstig as well! What's more, when he first got arrested and was awaiting for his lawsuit, Darkstig set him free - but as it later turned out, the villain only did it to cause chaos which the polititian would be blamed for! President George Crashington knew most of it, as he's obviously also a polititian, so he requested that Steve Car shouldn't spend too much time in prison as he wasn't associated with the villains at all. The activist got sentenced to a year in prison, which later got shortened to half a year thanks to his good behavior and the will to change (he doesn't even have such controversial opinions anymore). Today, his punishment has ended, but someone is definitely not happy with it... As he was returning home to meet his family, Steve Car was hit head-on by a remotely controlled drag Ibishu Kashira at high speed! Fortunately, he's a rear-engine car, so he survived, but he had to be taken to car repair immidiately. It can't have been an accident - the Kashira had a strong metal bar instead of the front bumper, and it happened really close to a gas station which could have blown up! Who could have done such thing? A political opponent? That's not really possible, considering that his only big opponent is president George Crashington who even requested for his punishment to be short; other parties don't have motivation as Steve Car is no longer the leader of the Car Rights Party and they would have attacked Jack Pickup (the current leader) instead. It can't have been Darkstig, as he has more important things to do, he is building a prototype weapon for the second battle of Firwood! There is one theory that seems quite likely, but very worrying: it could have been a spy from another country trying to cause a civil war between polititians! He probably would have made fake evidence against George Crashington, causing a political war! BeamNG Land doesn't have the best relations with the neighboring countries so the theory is likely. It's too early to try to guess which country did it, we don't even know if this theory is true. For now, let's not talk about this and see how things turn out. WEATHER ALERT: Snow and ice on the roads all over East Coast! Avoid accelerating too much, be ready to brake earlier than usual, and still avoid driving near the city of Firwood, there will most likely be another battle there soon! NO STREET RACING ALLOWED AT ALL, ESPECIALLY NEAR GAS STATIONS!

I tried one map with a few extra cars, it was really jumpy. How much CPU and RAM is needed to run like this? Also, is it just random traffic or can you set up the scenes to meet the cars at certain places? Thanks.

If your traffic lags, just decrease the amount of cars it spawns in the Gameplay tab of Options. Also yes, this is random, there is no way to set it up, you can set up AI with the script AI tool but it requires a lot more work, and the traffic is less laggy than normal AI because it doesn't simulate aerodynamics and some other stuff.
