In downtown Beam City, on Highway 81, Waluigi is standing near an overpass with a mysterious object in his hands. He pushes a button on the object and throws it in the air. As it flies across the road, it springs open. Upon landing, it reveals itself to be a new spike strip shaped like several X's connected to each other. The strip blends into the pavement so well that it's difficult to see. Waluigi laughs maniacally as he climbs up onto the overpass to watch the impending chaos. Meanwhile, at the police station, Sheriff Dummieson and Deputy Koopa are reviewing the records on the imprisoned Koopalings. The radio soon came to life with a message from Deputy Earp. "Boss, better get the paramedics out here to Highway 81," Deputy Earp said. "All hell has absolutely broken loose. Some son of a *BLEEP* has put out a nearly invisible spike strip, and we got multiple casualties." *"DAMN IT! NOT THIS AGAIN!"* Dummieson shouted as he slammed a fist down on his desk. "Who the hell is responsible THIS time?!" "I don't know, but we better go find out just how bad it is out there," Deputy Koopa replied. Dummieson nodded, and they left together. While on their way, Dummieson contacted Sergeant Daisy. "Are you anywhere near Highway 81 right now?" Dummieson asked. "As a matter of fact, I'm on Highway 81 at this time," Sergeant Daisy said. "Why do you ask?" Just then, she ran over the spike strip and blew out her tires. "What the *BLEEP* was that?!" Sergeant Daisy yelled as the car began to swerve around, and then she screamed, *"OHHHHH, NOOOOO!"* There was a terrible crashing noise, followed by nothing but silence. "Oh my God," Deputy Koopa gasped. "That sounded very, very bad." Dummieson promptly smashed the gas pedal to the floor, and they raced to the accident scene. Up on the overpass, Waluigi saw Sergeant Daisy's car run over the strip and violently slam into the wreckage, driver's side first. He roared with laughter as he shouted, "That's what you get, you *BLEEP,* for being in 'Smash Bros. Ultimate' instead of me! TOO BAD! WALUIGI TIME!" He decided that it was time to make like a banana sundae and split, so he got into his Firehawk and left. When Dummieson and Deputy Koopa arrived at the crash site, it was a scene of total chaos and carnage. Every single driver suffered varying degrees of injuries, but the driver with the worst injuries was... Sergeant Daisy. Her car had been absolutely destroyed in the crash, with the roof crushed in. The paramedics arrived, quickly got the critically injured Sergeant Daisy out of the wreckage, and took her to the hospital. (When Sheriff Toadstool heard about the crash, she became so upset that she had to take a leave of absence, handing the job to Sergeant O'Bash. She would spend the next 72 hours in the waiting room at the hospital, praying that Sergeant Daisy would survive. Will she make it, or is this the end for her?)
