The scene towards the end where he buries his secret in a tree in the wall of a Cambodian temple, that was just devastating and yet so beautiful and unforgettable.

I'm reading A Layman's guide to Psychiatry and psychoanalysis and and the first chapters discuss this Images that we have in our minds about reality ( our own reality ) and reality itself and it totally makes sense haha now i see relationships and aspects of life from a totally different angle .

To me the whole movie seems like a memory piece, something someone experienced long back and now recollecting through the hazy cloud of time. The movie seems to be a collection of vignettes remembered by a sad lovelorn lover, nostalgic about the love he/she lost and cannot get back. I also think the person remembering is Mr. Chow.

Watching Wong Kar wais movies is like walking through memories you have never experienced . I watched Chung King Express and Fallen angels and they have like created a void in my heart and have sat there and they refuse to leave . But now I'm going to force myself to watch in the mood for love .

I remember when we discussed this film after watching it in one of my film classes. We were talking about how good it was, but how if we described it to people who hadn't seen it might not understanding. How do you explain that it's so captivating to see a man whispering into a wall or a woman walking through a hallway? Those parts don't sound interesting to talk about, but in the moment they are striking.

This is my favorite film, hands down. I tried to explain the gist of it to some friends and I got bogged down on the music, the camera movements, the story. I didn't know how to convey everything that this film offers in my own words. Everything in this movie is sad and beautiful at the same time. Thanks, crashcourse.

One of the greatest movies of all time. It got me hooked on oriental cinema since I saw it. The way Kar wai uses music is incredible and I can never listen to nat king cole without seeing kar wai´s visuals , slow motion and color moods. Another great movie was "the sequel" - 2046 which follows what happened to the characters when in the mood for love ends.

I recently watched the "sequel" 2046, and as much as everybody raves about In The Mood For Love, you don't realize the impact it had until you watch 2046. 2046 is kind of like a sequel, it's Mr. Chow and brief flashback to Mrs. Chen, but it's hard to say that it's the same Mr. Chow that we met in ITMFL. 2046 feels like it's a sequel to the audience's take-away from ITMFL, but not necessarily an in-universe sequel to the people we knew in the preceding movie.

The pacing of this video is too fast, like rapid-fire. It's hard to appreciate your points when there are so many coming at the viewer in such rapid succession. I love film criticism and would like to see more of your videos, but I think more quality and less quantity would be a better approach.
