Thank you Crash Course team. My son wrote his first essay for his Earth and Space Science Honors class. In it he directly named you all as his inspirations for igniting his passion for science and making him want to channel that passion into a career. You may never read this comment, but you've touched our hearts and minds in ways that are hard to put into words and near impossible to fathom. Thank you for everything you do.

In Missouri we actually had a buyback program earlier this year where the Department of Conservation gave out native trees in exchange for cutting down and removing bradford pears!

I enjoy listening to this Crash Course. The host Alexis has an infectious fun personality. During the video I kept thinking of the tree that is supposedly threatened by the extinction of the dodo which ate and spread its seeds. 👍😄😀

0:34 “Plants social lives are as dynamic as those in a supernatural horror crime high school drama.” So kinda like the tv show “Legacies”? Which is related to “The Originals” and “The Vampire Diaries”. Spoiler warning. I think there was a tree spirit in one of the episodes. And some of the witches spells require plants. And they made a bomb with the plants that vampires and werewolves are deadly allergic to. And only that one tree can kill that one family. Etc ect. 2:24 Also cool I didn’t know gerbils were pollinators. 8:17 That one meme with a table, That is Mohogany! 9:08 A book The Everglades, Rivers Of Grass, by Marjory Stoneman Douglas. More stuff. Cool video.
