Haha, I hear you John, I am an old fuck too (52) and I remember the 80's all too well. I am an American from Corpus Christi TX, and I was under the impression that hair metal was a thing of the past. Well maybe here, but I didn't understand the logic of the American music industry. Why kill a perfectly good genre of music? The American music scene sucks right now Some of these European record labels are doing a fine job. Santa Cruz is good, so is Sister. There are some great thrash bands out there too like Dust Bolt

Before i discovered these guys, i was always looking for a band who played 80s music and was new.. That way i could say "These guys r gonna take over the world someday" to my friends, and see it happen, unlike most 80s bands who already did it or broke up. The day i discovered crashdiet, i almost died in happiness, now they just need to tour the US!

Crashdiet, although they capture the 80s sleazey metal spirit fantastically, dont seem to be just so primitive. They appear to have evolved. Their lyrics appear to be powerful and challenging. Riot in Everyone actually has a punk rebel spirit but the sound of the 80s. I love them :)
