4:28 made my breath stop for a sec. I had a few foot stompers pulling off the highway into driveways. I go through cola pretty fast, too.. :P

Caught me by surprise, for sure! I'm just glad I recovered. I know humans are supposed to be like 60% water, but I'm probably 50% water and 10% cola. Just don't shake me up too much! :)

Those saddle bags are massive, so handy. Pleased you kept the bike upright. I rode a V Strom 650 the other day, the first adventure bike I have ever ridden and really liked it. So comfortable, very different from my GSX. I wish I could have two bikes .😎 Take care Mate

I almost bought a new set of soft bags, but decided on the hard ones for basic locking. I'm not sure how they'll handle a crash, and hope I never find out. :) Another thing I almost bought was a V-Strom 650 when I was trying to decide which one to get. They are really nice bikes. I'm with you: I wish I wasn't limited to just one bike! I could have bought a small 300cc enduro bike and a Ninja 400 for the cost of the Africa Twin, but I couldn't afford to insure two bikes. Maybe one day we'll get lucky! Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you all are enjoying your summer. :)

Just minding my own business then, WOOSH. Man that scared me! You weren't going too fast for that corner if it wasn't dirty, heck you hit the other one at 22. It really sounded like there was a light dusting on the road. After riding dirt bikes, my eyes were open to how much suspension really plays on the handling of a motorcycle. You could probably take an old Pan Head and slap some ohlins suspension on it, tune it up and hit the track. Yeah chassis makes a difference also but suspension is a HUGE factor.

I went back to it the next day to see if something was making it a slippery turn and saw a bit of oil sheen right where my front tire started to slip. I also saw lots of heavy drag marks & gouges in the road surface showing quite a few bikes had that happen at that corner. I'm definitely going to upgrade the rear spring. It is ridiculously soft from the factory. Off-roading is hard enough on a bike with GOOD suspension, much less on one with a floppy suspension. :) I'm looking forward to seeing how your KTM does for you. Those have killer suspensions.

@@Land-Shark Yeah I thought something was fishy in that turn. Sounds like you thought so too and verified it. I heard those springs are fairly soft on those models but it’s also the rebound dampening valve. It needs to be slowed down to stop the “buck”. Man i was able to easily jump this bike and it was smoooooth. I will have to go back and record when it dries up. Lots of rain lately and this weekend is the first service and house work ☹️. Oh well can’t ride every weekend.
