You won't get more traction by spinning the wheels at the cut off. I thought they knew hard ice doesn't work that way. At most you melt the surface of the ice and make it even more slippery

ты про тойоту? Да он все верно сделал успел сбросить до нужной скорости перед поворотом (а не во время как остальные) а дальше вошел в контролируемый занос и в скольжении прошел как боженька!) Штурман скорее всего зарешал.. т.к. штурман определяет скорость перед поворотом.

I think it's because rallye cars use hydraulic handbrake on the rear wheels to make better turns and as it's a traction it only has the front wheels driving

Monte Carlo went from rally to noob street race. In the times past drivers were allowed to choose suitable tires, and first they had to drive through a whole continent to even be allowed to start the leg in the mountains of Monaco.
