i always fly Philippines Airlines which has its pro and cons. I have found in the long run the shorter flight direct from LA or SF on this airline is worth the price and issues. Thier loyalty program for frequent fliers is decent also.

Hi Kurt! Asking for a different reply, other than saying kamusta? If someone asks you "What's up?" or says kamusta to you, You can reply "Ayos" (elongate the O in the 2nd syllable, like "A-yoohs!". And you may also give a thumb's up). If someone shouts "Hey" to you, you can shout a reply... "Pare" for guys (And raise your hand, with your palm towards them in acknowledgement). It'll be so cool. Saying "Kamusta" usually requires them to reply to you. For lack of time to answer back to you, you may observe some do the tilting up of the head. You do that sometimes. The reverse of nodding.
