Very sad, if you want fish and chips and lager, stay at home, why go abroad, try the local food. Typical English.🤣🤣

Is it sad? We like the sun, the beach, history, excursions, hiring a car and seeing places, mixing with people and revisiting many old friends we've made along the way.. we do go for local food but non of it beats good old Fish n Chips and a Full English.. it's not sad.. it's our choice!

@peterrowlands What planet are you on ? I don't think that's sad at all. Everyone has their preference . Foreigners come here to the UK and often do the same ie look for food from their own country, so why can't we Brits do the same ? There's nothing better than finding a piece of home in a foreign country and most times that's in the form of food .You can't beat good old British fayre to be honest .

Nice looking Fish and Chips . The menu is my type of grub too. I can't have any cold drink with fish and chips its got to be a good cup of hot tea. Here in Yorkshire its always Haddock but it seems Cod is the default fish down south and you specifically have to ask for Haddock down there . A touch of Heinz ketchup on that chip/mushy peas butty would be my preference but nothing wrong with just salt and vinegar. I'm off out for some Fish and Chips after watching that !

I had great fish and chips in torremolinos in an English run chippy and the bbqd sardines on the beach were great too

It's funny how Brits always seem to want to recreate Britain everywhere they go. I see it in France, in Portugal, Spain, Italy, everywhere. As soon as you have a British enclave, fish & chips shops arise, English barbers, builders, cricket clubs, the lot. It's not at all different from what immigrants do in the Uk. But ofcourse they are immigrants. The British are expats. And then it's allowed...😂😂
