This song, as well as many others in Strive's OST, has helped me cope with things that I can't control. This song specifically helps me cope with my panic disorder. My panic derives from a fear of sudden death, so when I'm laying down in bed at night my "curse" is my own thoughts. Thinking on it, this song is an accurate way for me to describe what a panic attack does to me. Constant conflict, raw emotions and thoughts, and the desire for freedom from this damn disorder. One of the many ways to talk yourself down from a panic attack is to say to yourself "I'm fine, I'll be fine." And I always think of this song when I do that. "The curse is not real, it's all in my mind." This song teaches me to fight on, wake up, and keep that grind going. If today's my last, then I want people to know I died without giving up and that I gave it my all. To me, this song is very important and I'm glad that it's also helping other people for completely different situations, even if it's just to beat boss Nago in arcade, haha.

This boss battle is simply brutal. He rushes you down so hard it's almost impossible to zone him, everytime he lands a combo on you, you lose 70% HP if you don't burst, almost every hit he gives turns into a combo, and not even mentioning the blood rage with no drawbacks whatsoever besides the increased damage he takes, because differently than normal, he can still dash around and use specials while in rage.

But then the song goes on to say *"Slay that fate of mine, the curse is not real, it's all in my mind.."* That 'Fate' that I bestowed myself, the one that said that I would never get good at fighting games, I had to destroy that thinking process. Why? Everything from then on visually matches the pacing of the music, including the initial lack of vocals. 3:07 - 3:38 Easily what keeps me hanging on this video. That starting clip just works... New guilty gear player here To me this is the perfect "boss song" cause it feels like it's directly talking about the player experience. It starts by talking about negative feelings you can have during the fight and about wanting to beat arcade mode. I think "the freedom of the calm" refers to the end of the battle, in this part it feels like it's specifically about losing or giving up, hence "An infinite Storm of nothingness" (dat gamer rage without accomplishing anything). When the chorus hits, it's like it's talking about actually losing ("A rainbow that fate has devoured") and having to try again, despite thinking about giving up you are gonna crawl. Then it goes into actually standing up, like finally getting that one stock, getting hyped up and stopping yourself from thinking that you can't beat the boss "Slay the fate of mine (the fate that devoured your win), The curse is not real, It's all in my mind".
