Thanks for taking the time to show the beautiful scenery that surrounds the trail and not just the trail. Also glad you are doing this in separate parts. One short video does not do this trail justice.

And what did you learn about those RSE steps? They're not trail rated at all. I see that step popped open and he had to strap it closed. We had 2 sets and nothing but problems with them. What a beautiful trail tho the scenery is epic.

Can’t wait to run this but wondering if I need 40’s before I do, how much struggle did the rigs on the 39 KM3’s have? That’s what I run right now
@Crawl5280
@Crawl5280 2 жыл бұрын
It honestly comes down to your driving abilities. 39's will be fine, but larger tire will help with clearance in some spots.

Just had to say not sure I you would like it on 33s. DOH!!! I'm running 33s do you think its doable with 33s locked front and rear?
@donhappel9566
@donhappel9566 2 жыл бұрын
If you're really determined enough and willing to spend time winching and stacking (and stacking and winching, and some more winching, taking all the bypasses, etc...) then sure...almost anything is possible. But no, I wouldn't try it on 33s. I actually took a group on 33s into Fordyce several years ago. We got to WH1 and said F that! and ended up turning back. But I've done it end to end in a day with a group of Rovers on 37s. We even took one through on 34s but again, he took every bypass and still ended up winching a lot. And he's a very good driver, not some pin it and pray type. I'd say the guys from SierraTrek have it right - minimum is 35s and dual locked.
@adamshartley
@adamshartley 2 жыл бұрын
@@donhappel9566 right on man thanks for the advice. 35s it is. 89 yj 5.13s, soa locked front and rear. And usually trailered so not worried about dents scratches and whoops! Lol and no doubt winching. Stay safe man 👍
@donhappel9566

@@adamshartley Keep in mind like most Sierra trails this is a thru-trail, so if you trailer you'll have to turn around and run the whole thing backwards unless you are street legal and can make the drive back around by highway. That's around 2.5 hrs. Or maybe you could pre-position a truck and trailer at Meadow Lake at the north end of the trail to pick up the rig when you are done. If you're built enough to run the whole trail up and back in a single day I don't think you'd bother asking questions here so definitely expect to spend a night if you're coming back out the same way you go in!
@adamshartley
@adamshartley 2 жыл бұрын
@@donhappel9566 I will definitely keep that in mind thank you. My rig does have plates I just trailer for peace of mind. But I will pack for a over night just in case. But I definitely won't run it without a group. My jeep project is fairly new so it will definitely be a test to see what the next upgrades will be. Thanks for all your input I really appreciate it. Maybe I will see you guys out one of these days. Stay safe and happy trails 👣

Just for constructive criticism, your into is much too long. It becomes a nuisance to skip it because I don't want to spend over 1 minute watching the same clips I've already seen several times before. If it were only 5 or 10 seconds I'd probably just watch it every time, which I think is also good for your viewing stats and the algorithm. Other than that, great content 👌
