With my claustrophobia, I could never crawl thru that tube. Just watching you do it had me in a slight panic.

Thank you, Dave, for sacrificing your skin and bone crawling in a tight space over hard lava rocks. You saved me the choice not to crawl through the tunnel on a future trip to Mount St. Helens Ape Cave Lava Tube. If you have seen one lava tube, you've seen them all. We, the people Thank you.

I was a ranger up there and grew up in the area. You need to explore that area a lot more. Windy ridge is amazing, Lava canyon is spectacular.

Thanks for the tunnel tour Dave. Glad it was you and not me.😊

I’m still laughing at Dave, but you did it for all of us! The look on Pistols face when she saw Dave come out of the lava tube is priceless! Yep…. Y’all definitely lead an interesting lifestyle!

There’s a campground we workamped at one summer Called Silver Lake Resort on the lake with a fantastic view of Mt. St.Helens if you go further north of Kelso in Silverlake, WA next time you are in WA.

I'm impressed with boardwalk trail, and improvement from working there in the 1990s. Yea Dave for making the crawl. It's a cool cave.

Ape Cave is so amazing - it is one of the things I always recommend to people visiting the area. We did the hard route and that wall they mention isn't very easy for a short person! But the experience is so worth it. Nothing like that little tube. A family member was lost in the eruption, so my anxiety when in that area is different - I never thought about an earthquake - but now I will worry about that too!

Not a chance in H E double toothpicks would I crawl through that tube!!! Many years ago, Nicole and I went through a lava tube just south of Bend Oregon. I had a major panic attack just after we got inside. And it was a fairly big tube. Eventually, I calmed down and we got to the end and then had to turn back around. Panic creeped back up for awhile. I get claustrophobic on a good day. Funny thing, I didn’t have my glasses on when I read the title of this video. I read lava as “love”. Did a double take and had a good chuckle. Every day, I get closer to jumping in the van and hitting the road. I’m feeling pretty good about the breakup with Nicole now. We talk a lot and she seems happy(ish). But I’m ready to go all vagabond. I’m about 2 1/2 months out from traveling. Another great video guys! Hope you and your family are doing well?! Sending your son good healing vibes. Carey On!

About 2 months ago, my wife took a tour through one of the ice caves in Iceland and guess what? 3 days later that ice cave collapsed.
