Man fast food has some high standards. I work retail and the only real standard for food is we can’t sell dairy or frozen food products if it’s been out of the coolers for 4 hours or longer.

Yes, that burger didn't look particularly appetizing but let's not forgett that BurgerKing, like McDonald's etc., is a *franchise* . One BurgerKings standards doesn't necessarily mean all of them have the same one. My personal experience is that the food at our local BurgerKing has always been *way* more fresh and crispy than at our local McDonald's.

“There are no instructions on how to handle the clay.” 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Really??? Really??? Her comments about Crayola’s missed opportunity to have kids sculpt and use clay (bake the clay for a permanent sculpture vs temporary sculpture dough) - I think it’s a little beyond the scope of kids meal toys. Dough can be used over and over again, and is kid friendly. Clay would require baking - not easy. And if kids want more colors of dough, I’m 99% sure that their parents will go buy some PlayDoh at the store, rather than buy a whole bunch of kids meals.

Jackie, I really do love you but ooh goooodd never leave fast food for two hours! Items usually have a hold time of about 5-30 minutes before they have to be thrown away (or, in the case of where I work, given to staff to eat to avoid pointless waste). That's a *correct* policy following food safety guidelines. Waiting two hours before eating is a little ridiculous (very, very unsafe because I doubt it was kept at a safe temperature), especially expecting things to be not soggy or dry after they've been left for so long! The issue with not enough salt and the sauce being bad is fair. I think the burger could have been dry when you received it if the store is particularly bad, but there's no way to know because you didn't check within a reasonable time. I don't know what BK's policy is on how long chips can sit in their warmer after it's been cooked, but in the fast food franchise I work at (Red Rooster, if there's any aussies reading this) chips can be held for MAX 7 minutes before we throw them in the bin! Even with a relatively short time period like that, and sitting in a heated area, they can/will eventually go soggy before the 7 minutes are up. I think nuggets are something like 10 minutes from fresh? And the closer you get to the 10 minute mark the dryer they become. It's kind of how food works. I get that you had to order food in order to get the toys, so you would have wasted the food if you threw it out when you got home because it was unsafe, and I understand you had to travel up to an hour to get home from the last BK, but eating it on camera wasn't necessary and not worth risking your health after sitting out for so long. You could have filmed the review in your car, or eaten it on your way home and then filmed your review afterwards

Ahahah love this! As someone who has worked in fast food, basically the reason you wouldn’t have got all the toys in one go is because the stores don’t have all the toys in at once. The promotion usually lasts like 2/3 months and the toys change every two weeks or so. So the different variations you would’ve got would’ve been the ones on promotion right then and either any left overs from the previous week and possibly early deliveries for the next one 😂 hope I explained that well... but I love you and I love your crafts and I watch all your videos, so happy to help give you some info this time!

I always find it interesting when people complain about places like McDonald's and Burger King. What did you expect? They're not known for their quality. There's nothing wrong with calling them out, but nothing is going to happen. They've always been like this and they're doing just fine. (McDonald's is, at least. I think Burger King might be having some problems.) If you want good food and service, you're looking in the wrong place. There are lots of alternatives.

Interestingly enough, in my country at least BK has way fresher and tastier food than, say, McDonalds. The salad is nice and fresh, the fries are crispy and good, and I've never had a dry bun like yours here. In McDonalds everything is mostly just... way greasier and soggier. BK in my town (in america) used to have little boxes for the kids menu- it wasnt like closed it was kinda like a tray that had a spot for your food a spot to put ur drink and spot where they put your toy. they dont do that anymore tho

I've worked at a fast food place for years, and over the last year or so the portioned Heinz sauces have been sticking together (individual boxes have 4 stacked layers, the tops and bottoms are sticking to each other). They arrive at the location like that and there's not much we can do about it other than ask for another order, but that would arrive in the same condition. If anything, the problem is occurring at the packaging location. I live in B.C. so it's kind of relieving to know it's not just our store getting sauces like that.

@@madtabby66 Time is literally money when you're the only one with a job to support your family. Cooking every single day takes a lot more effort than he probably had left at the end of a work day. Many people also have multiple jobs or long hours too so that leaves them with no time. Also, fresh and healthy ingredients are a lot more expensive than you think.

It might be different in Canada, but I ordered a kids meal from Burger King in Auckland, NZ a few years back and it came in a box similar to the ones at MacDonald, the food was packaged neatly and was generally more appetising.🤷 maybe they’ve changed over the years. The fries were flavoursome and crispy, and the burger was certainly not as good as the picture, but it was better than whatever THAT thing was.

Wendy's baked potato (sour cream and chive) with their chili is so good!, I love BK's Whopper. (There are several near me that are really good BK's) I love Hardeys/ Carl Jr. in general, so good. There is also a burger place only found here in Wisconsin called Kopps that has the best burgers and custard!

As a fast food worker, thank you for this. We see hundreds of people a day. That's a lot of bags to fill with food. Fries are also not good for 2 hours. She was complaining about that and it really bugged me. Of course they wouldn't be good after two hours. They're fries. They get soggy and sad looking.
