Crazed Pitbull Practices Obedience At 1st Time Visit to Lowes

Big man, Alfred, had his first store trip to Lowes today! It’s hard to believe it’s only been a bit over a week for this easily distracted boy!
After being taught a solid foundation in obedience, we felt Alfred was ready to be flooded with what triggers him to disconnect the most - noise, people, movement, and new and novel experiences! So everything! 🤣
And there’s literally no better place to do this than a busy store like Lowes!
How on Earth is this possible in only week after his owners claimed he was impossible to calm down and get to listen?
Because we’ve made ALL of Alfred’s choices for him from the moment he was left with us. We’ve patterned his behavior so heavily that he is now starting to default to his person rather than impulsively act in ways that only serve him!
Every single interaction we’ve had has been based in Permission Only. This has slowed Alfred’s thought processing down, and has made him more self-aware. He’s started leaning more and more on us to manage every situation.
