You don't know how rampant nepotism is in Tollywood, everybody is a relative of someone already established, at least a distant one, and if that doesn't work, then they see your caste, if you're of a suitable Telugu caste and a native Telangana person only then you get a significant role, this is of course for the men, when it comes to women, they are just chosen based on their light skin and if they are willing to go through the casting couch. Tollywood is probably harder to crack into than Bollywood, but people are blinded by all the drug and nepotism fiasco of Bollywood while thinking that Tollywood is as clean as a temple. Vijay definitely is some high caste Telugu guy with some connections in the industry, no wonder the quality of actors they produce, most of them just shout and show anger in almost every scene, funny thing is that most of them have these Engineering and Medical degrees but didn't consider once to gain expertise in the acting field by learning a thing or two about it, they just think that they are proficient.
