Love how the Detroit PA announcer is always quick to tell the fans not to come on the floor. It may be 20 years later, but the Malice at the Palace still holds strong in his memory.

Now once the altercation ends, whatever you do, do not actually leave the scene. Instead walk around the edge of the group of people, moseying right in the way of everyone, ensuring that the scuffle continues for as long as possible and everyone remains confused. And it's best to be so close and move such that you appear to keep pushing people- the altercation is over, it doesn't have to remain over.

Believe it or not, fights like the Malice At The Palace used to happen all the time in the 1940s-70s, and were not unheard of during the '80s either (check out the Celtics' Cedric Maxwell fighting a fan in the front row during Game 6 of the 1981 ECF, or Warriors' coach George Karl and a couple of his players duking it out with some fans in Utah in Game 2 of the 1987 Western Conference first round.
