@@Lewash24 - Not pure luck when it is a planned play that works. The trick fooled the defense and allowed the player to advance the ball to the weak side of the wall where there was a shooting lane. The ball glancing off the defender didn't matter because the point of the play is to get the ball clear of the wall and on goal. The defender that sniffed it out broke the line to challenge and it was a mistake because she advanced forward and jumped in the air to defend the kick when she should have drifted to her left to keep the shooting lane narrow and force her into a more difficult shot. However, the whole idea of the play is to spring it when your opponent least expects it or are confused as to what is happening.

Japan for example, the most successful women's national team in Asia (won the world cup in 2011), only has 3 professional clubs in total in their national league, so I fully expect countries like Vietnam, Thailand or Malaysia to have almost only amateur players in their national women's teams. Add to that the fact that women are on average about 10 centimetres shorter than men (that's about 4 inches for mentally-impaired anglos), and most of the GKs of these countries will likely be amateur players who keep a day job and can't even reach the crossbar, so a skill to take corners like that is a real killer that probably won Vietnam many games... 😂🤣 It's fun, but tbf it's also great skill from the player!
