Hey Nep, been a silent viewer for awhile, but wanted to thank you for the content (I'm surprised about how passionate some people get while criticizing your approach to drafts...) and mention a couple things about the draft. Firstly, so much of the draft is based on luck or things that only whoever programmed the gamemode know, which often makes it difficult to say what strategies would be the best for high rated drafts, and the only way to truly figure out what's best is through some kind of statistical approach to a bunch of drafts (similar to what you were trying to do awhile ago when someone calculated the average ratings for each formation). While you pretty much already do this, one thing I can say confidently is that there is best order to picking the slots; you should always pick the slots that have the least variety in position first (i.e., pick the starting 11 and bench goalkeeper slot first). In general, this is because you want to have as much information as possible when deciding who to take on the random position reserve slots (and to a lesser extent the bench spots aside from the goalkeeper, since although you're guaranteed a defender/midfielder/attacker, you're offered a variety of defender/midfielder/attacker positions to choose from). If you don't get a good goalkeeper from your 2 guaranteed goalkeeper slots, then you need to rely on getting a goalkeeper from the reserves. If you pick your reserves first, you wouldn't know that you need to get a goalkeeper from them. It's a similar idea for defender/midfielder/attacker positions too. I figured you already approached drafts with something like this in mind, but wanted to mention it after the video you did about different people's draft-picking theories. On the third draft, you could have put Traore RM, Nico williams back in LM and either Baresi or Cordoba in CB. Don't think it would have brought you a 139, but it would have been a small upgrade. But with a 90 goalkeeper in the starting 11, anything more than a 127 is already hard to get, so above a 128, not sure it's possible without like 4 99

In the case you’re talking about with Ribery you took a RW 88 rated that went to the bench instead of Ribery 92 to go on the bench. The chance of you getting Ribery 97 is too low for it to actually be statistically beneficial not taking his 92 rated vs an 88 rated if They both go on the bench

What I’ve found by doing a few drafts, if all players are lower than 90 take the lowest rated and you tend to get higher rated cards afterwards

You should do the lowest rated draft challenge. Every card in the starting 11 needs to be “in position” so they can get chem but you aim to get the lowest rated cards that don’t link so they don’t get any chem for the lowest rated draft challenge.

I feel like you’re not understanding that if you take a captain that won’t make the bench then you’re handicapping yourself. There’s enough high rated cards that you’ll get better rated players in the bench and reserves resulting in a higher rating. The math backs the theory up
