Appreciate the context of "the last 2 hands you saw were over 3-4 hours". Generally I know that's the case when watching plays like this but it's nice to have it pointed out.

Glad you lost with AA to the old man at the end. He’s putting in 20% of his stack pre, there is no reason to slow play that spot ever. It’s an auto jam every single time
@ShowofForce

First hand : would raise quite a bit bigger here; slowplaying flop was enough, we are just costing ourselves money here with the nuts; he's still not folding a K or better to a bigger raise; and yeah river looks scary for him if he has a naked King, would go smaller.

Great attitude and thought process about the KQos bluff. With exception of the min-raise/check, your analysis makes sense. There must have been a reason why you didn’t put that into your consideration?
@giljackpoker

I mentioned all the hands he could raise with. I do think the min raise is pretty strong, but I've seen random hands quite often as well

When you said the 1/3 table was one of the worst you’ve been in, I know what you mean. When I first played there they were juicy. Last one I went to was a bunch of nits/OMC with short stacks, where people limp with big hands

That's good can exploit
@guillermoalvarez9400
@guillermoalvarez9400 Жыл бұрын
@@mrhumble2937 sure you can exploitatively fold a lot but it’s like pulling teeth to get value unless you cooler someone. You can’t squeeze much from blinds or straddle cause of tight limp ranges
@mrhumble2937
@mrhumble2937 Жыл бұрын
@Guillermo Alvarez yea but also C bet take down a lot of pots. Or squeeze to avoid rake. I just can't get mad with how other people decide to play cuz when I first started I did the same.

Bro the min click is the strongest bet in poker. Its always a set or top 2 in a case like this IMO

Yea remember as good as he is not the most experienced. I actually started bluff min raising because so many people know that and get folds.
@giljackpoker
@giljackpoker Жыл бұрын
Yeah min click is strong, but not always on the flop. I've seen random hands do that a ton. Maybe that just happens in Texas though haha

"sometimes the bluffs just don't work out", yeah and sometimes you don't really need to make those crazy bluffs. What was the point of risking your entire stack? If he's weak a much smaller raise could have gotten the job done, but it's just not a logical place to bluff. The only logical reason given by hero is "Well if they don't have nearly the nuts they'd have to fold". Yeah that's true for just about any pot and any board texture. Also you don't defend your straddle with J 7 off. If you're "defending" with that hand when are you ever folding ?
@mrhumble2937
@mrhumble2937 Жыл бұрын
That's why you dont slow play the aces, then at least bet the flop. Usually I agree with all your logic.
