Love the car, I wanted it as soon as I saw the seats compared to competitors. But the V6 sounded so weak in my opinion. Coming from a CLA45 I wanted the V8 grunt. Opted for the C63 coupe and haven't looked back. Definitely is a really good car though for definite.

I absolutely hate left lane hoggers myself, but that guy did nothing wrong - you're not checking your mirrors every second, the RS5 simply was not in sight when he changed lanes. Going 125 while overtaking is okay in a Corsa. sure if I see a car in my back flying towards me I can be nice and move over if I don't have to brake in front of the truck, but there are unexperienced drivers and you have to respect that.

Small RS cars had V6 Biturbos except the understeering dogs of cars B6 & B7. Audi is back with the original recipe and it should stay considering they are faster in any situation compared to V8s.

Faster in a straight line because of the turbo. But I'm pretty sure that naturally aspirated V8 had better throttle response. Zero lag. Not to mention that incredible V8 sound. V6 will never sound that great. And the sound in sports cars is very important for overall experience.

Kyle Butler no, it’s faster period. Handling is better, so is the throttle response. You sound like you have never driven a modern turbocharged petrol car, there is almost ZERO lag. Variable geometry, efficient intercoolers make this possible. V8 is less powerful, has less torque, is heavier and the overall b6 platforms are under steering dogs with ok exhaust notes. Sports cars need to handle and go fast, sound is second to last priority.

I think V6 suits this car better.. Its lighter, and it has way more power than the old V8 due to turbos,not to talk about fuel consumption, that is way lower now, not that people who buy this kind of car care about fuel but still, you could perhaps daily drive it up to a certain point. However only bad thing is it doesnt sound mean as an N/A big V8, but you could get an optional aftermarket exhaust tho..

@Krellay .. You say people who drive these cars don't care about fuel consumption but it's always an added bonus. Coming from a CLA45 into a C63, the difference is huge. Do I sit and watch the fuel counter? Absolutely not, but I would definitely prefer for it to be better on long distance journeys. You have to think these cars are in the market for a lot of different types of people. Not everyone is a multi millionaire. None the less this is an awesome car.

я не понимаю, что это за автобаны без ограничения скорости? 2 "стандартные" полосы, отбойник без обочины, в случае непредвиденного некуда даже "обрулиться"... вот идет фура, этот несется 220, а впереди "техничка" стоит - фура чуть займет 2-ю полосу (даже не полностью) - и этому деваться просто некуда... там стабильно 150 максимум можно ехать... единственное объяснение, что там нет "калин" с тормозами из сыра... этот то возможно и оттормозиться перед фурой...

Audi is an excellent brand and definitely deserves top spots. I know it's all about preference. Audi has never finished to convince me though. I mean as a customer who wants to buy it. I would rather buy a Mercedes or a BMW. Those two brands to me have always been on top. They have way more heritage when it comes to selling premium cars for years, way more than Audi. The only Audi I've always like just because of its look, is the R8. Please no hate from Audi fans, this is just my own opinion.

You are too patient with slow asses like the one at 4:20 (I would just have passed him in the right lane). At least he stepped on the accelerator. Also you should get a better GPS for speed measurement (just look at 4:20 also, there). That's most likely a hardware problem - many phones uses a GPS chip (SiRF Star III) that's not very good at measuring speed. The measured speed lags behind actual speed way too much and is very sensitive to interference. With your budget, you can probably buy a really good one like Racelogic vbox or something. But, really nice car anyway!

I need to be patient, it’s highway like any other one. This 60 year old women was just overtaking a truck. 130km/h is normal every day cruising speed. GPS... my external 10Hz GPS Modul didn’t want to work that day at 10Hz (measures position 10 times/ sec.) .. so I was needed to drive with 1Hz GPS (1 position/ sec) and it looks like, it goes only on internal GPS from the phone.. 🙂✌️

Yes, but still - those drivers are so annoying (she could have let you pass without even slowing down her self - you would pass long before she catches up with the truck anyway). Many of us who live in a country with speed limit on all roads, have to deal with this crap all the time - and if you're that patient here, your average speed will drop significantly (even when the traffic is light). I know it's better on autobahn, but what I have seen on all the videos - those drivers are quite common there to. That phone doesn't even measure the speed with 1 Hz - it updates the speed once per second, but the measured value is smoothed out over several seconds. That gives an unacceptable amount of lag from your actual speed. Also the SiRF Star III (as I guess is used in that phone) is very sensitive to intereference - the mesured speed "jumps" and gives inconsistent readings. This is more or less a problem with all GPS recievers if you get bad signal (for example tall trees close to the road, passing under a bridge or on a city street with tall buildings around) - but, SiRF Star III is very sensitive for that and just the slightest blockage of the signal cause the speed readings to "jump around" (and if you have an app with automatic top speed recording, that will be way off). I once had such a reciever that showed I was going a several km/h when standing still. The one I use now is an old cheap Magellan Explorist 100 with a slight modification, so I can use an external antenna. That one works much better and has true once a second update (only annoying thing is that when you lose signal, the value on the display freezes instead of just show blank or dots - but you mostly see when that happen).

So what if they are "annoying". The Autobahn is a public highway for commuting and traveling. We can agree that the Opel-incident was ridiculous and that is annoying, but that still doesn't change the fact that he was probably doing a relatively safe speed, while the (awesome) RS5 came flying out of nowhere to him. Let's at least give him credit for speeding up and getting out of the way.
