How do you set your deadband and throttle offset around the center ? sometimes during 3d maneuvers I get instability when just throwing the quad in the air with throttle stick in the middle. The prop stop and get unstable (flip on the side) when I put throttle back. It never happen in normal mode when the prop are always turning.

"3D" in this case means the props can turn in both directions.

Im a heli pilot and just now getting into drone stuff and fpv, seeing your video i wonder how much *fun* i could have with quads in 3D-LOS flight by leverage my "mad heli smack skillz" ? :) how close such drones can come to helis in terms of pure adrenalin/freedom/expression?

Awsome flying, I'd like to know how you get motors to reverse reliably , I can fly 3d with my brushed quads but brushless just craps out occasionally resulting in a loss of control and crash so I don't do it..

Hey thanks man. I finally got it to work. In the pid tab, roll & pitch to .25, and yaw to .40. Also on receiver tab, rc rate to .85 and rc expo to .10. One thing I overlooked was props. Regular props don’t cut it. it won’t stay long flying inverted. r u using 3d props? Also what battery r u using? I was using 3c 11.1v 2200mah and heavy not enough pop to it. too many questions….lol….thanks in advance.

Im thinking here that the yaw direction is reversed (reversed as compared to what a CP heli would do) when inverted. Is that correct?

Thanks for the response, after thinking about it for a while, I realized that the inputs are probably all reversed in the FC FW when going "negative pitch",since all stick inputs would be reversed with the motor directions reversed. I plan to set this up with one my quads this weekend.

If you look closely at the drone close-ups you can see that not 2 propellers are flipped over (a trick to improve in some aspects the 3D flight with 2D props). This is also confirmed by the sound. You can hear that upside down is a different sound, and you can also hear that he has to accelerate more upside down (just because 2D props are much more efficient in one direction). How well would he fly with real 3D props ? Hope you gonna upload some new 3D stuff in the future... I'm one of your biggest fans.
