Very cool car. I really like the idea of hyper cars with F1 engines, I already created an 80's and a modern Honda V6 turbo drived hypercars and they are amazing.

I think a lot of your "tank slapper" and other handling issues were caused by that extremely soft front suspension. The nose was diving on every momentum change which shifted weight off the rear wheels.

I've made several 80s super cars, afew things to note: they need some more weight, and less power than you should think. For an example, you might want a TT, 580Hp V8, and fiberglass panels. In automation that's fine. But in beamng with no traction control it's nearly uncontrollable, and also will probably not like turns. What I usually do to get a decent handling car is 380-450 HP, Aluminum panels, and some rear downforce. Downforce (although unrealistic) will help alot with understeer and snappy handling.
@fillman862 жыл бұрын
I made the suspension stiffer, and switched to open diff, and it now handles fine.... the idea was that these guys went from making race cars, to a rushed road car :P

Hey there Filman! Do you have any idea of how I could have my hypercar with double Multilink suspension? I mean, having it in both rear and front. I've thought about using blender, and changing some parameters, but I think you might have a better idea of what to do.
@fillman862 жыл бұрын
blender? well if you just want it done visually, then take the flexbody name from suspensionmesh_rear and put it in suspensionmesh_front, then move the location around to get it in place. The reason you don't get multilink often in the front is you need the hub assembly to be able to pivot for steering. Keep in mind that technically automation's solid axle suspension is a less common multilink solid axle configuration, instead of the more common torsion beam type
@S-a-n-t-y2 жыл бұрын
@@fillman86 Yes! Made a hypercar with double ML, but now I'm curious about how to do it "technically" sort of saying. What should I code, now that I've done it visually, so it's "full" converted?
@fillman862 жыл бұрын
@@S-a-n-t-y tbh they're all double wishbone, not multilink anyway :P automation is kinda lazy :P

@@fillman86 Oh that sounds great! I'll be waiting the notification then. By the way, the final version is stable and looking good! Once that video gets released I'll do the same coding as you, thanks :D
@domoniquebrooks8162 жыл бұрын
Stiffen your suspension, there's too much front/rear weight transfer causing understeer when braking and also causing snap oversteer when the weight transfers back. The fishtailing is also caused by excessive forward weight transfer which causes the rear to become too light, reducing rear traction.
@fillman862 жыл бұрын
but the fishtailing happens under load.... though after the video, I did go back and give it stiffer suspension, and with an open diff, it still puts the power down well, and it handles nicely.... but that was outside the theme of the build :)
