I don’t normally play ten pins but I am a amateur duckpin bowler. I’ve converted a 5-7-10 twice, a 6-7-10, a 2-7-10, 5-7, 5-10, a 2-3-4-5, a 2-3-6-10, 6-7, 2-7-9, 1-5-8-9 twice 4-7-10, 2-3-9, 3-9-10 5-7-8, 2-7, 3-10, a 5-9-10, 5-8-9, and a 2-7-8. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve missed conversions on those splits and in duckpins it’s harder.

The other day my wife somehow managed to leave the 1-2-4-6-9-10 standing for the most bizzare 4-count I've ever seen. She grazed the 7 just as the ball was falling into the gutter, it fell sideways into the back of the 8, which fell forward into the 5 and that into the 3. It confused the poor graphics on how to make it - which was just like welp I've got nuttin.

Very Cool Osku. I did the same thing as your second shot at the 5-7-10, hit the 5-7 with the ball but the 5 just went behind the 10, did that twice. Do the Pinsetters automatically set those combo's up for you or does the mechanic have to? I tried my 5-7-10 at Santa Fe Station in Las Vegas when they had Bowler Vision there about 30 years ago and I could punch in the console any pin or pins I wanted to shoot at.

Nice video, and glad to see the missed attempts. If you want to try uploading a new version, in the future, one improvement for the viewer, I think is if you had a diagram, say in the lower right corner, showing the pin formation you are trying to hit. This would greatly improve clarity as to what you are doing, and how difficult it actually is. That's just my $.02 though.
@OskuPalermaa300
@OskuPalermaa300 2 жыл бұрын
Great idea. Though difficulty % is hard to create. Would just be a opinion and not hard data as I don’t have any data of the spare % done in the world nor on tour especially on random leaves that I decide to set up that never really happen IRL

@Skyfighter64 2 жыл бұрын
@@OskuPalermaa300 I wasn't worried about the % numbers themselves, I was just meaning that by being able to see the layout of the pins you are going for would help make it easier to understand the difficulty, and what you were actually trying to do with the ball. I always wanted to try my luck with custom pin layouts, can't find a place that does it. Anyway, I'd try candlepin leaves just for fun like: * Spread Eagle (2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 10) Not possible in tenpin * Half Worcester (Either the 2, 8, or the 3, 9 missing) Not possible in tenpin (maybe string pinsetters) * Full Worcester (Both the above missing) * Four Horsemen ("The Rail" in tenpin 1, 2, 4, 7, or 1, 3, 6, 10) * Queen's Leave (Same, minus the head pin, or back pin, the "Mini Rail" in tenpin) * Woolworth (5, 10. Same name in tenpin?) * Fence Posts (7, 8, 9, 10, not sure what tenpin calls it, but nearly impossible in candles without wood) * Picket Fence (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, or just 1, 2, and 3 knocked down) * Bunch of similar leaves both games have.

Great content Osku! Here's a challenge, with the 2 & 8 leave (or the 3 & 9), is it possible to hook a ball between the two of them without knocking either of them over? I know it can be done with the baby split, but this would be next level. Even if dead wood or extra ball was stationary in the gutter to bounce off were used.
@OskuPalermaa300
@OskuPalermaa300 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Going between 2-8 or 3-9 is possible yes, but not from behind the foul line. It’d have to be done with a “cheat” like that to be possible

Thank you, I do have skills and creativity which definitely helps picking those pesky splits up. There’s a few guys that are great at it too on tour. Obviously pretty much everyone is good at spares too. I’ve played around with bowling balls enough that I can get them moving in quite many different styles, not too repetitively though 😂

You know what video will get a lot of views, is if you setup 7-10's on each lane and shot them with your old 10 pin spare release. That'll turn a lot of heads

🤔. I definitely do want to try some spares for sure at north rock, they seem to bounce pretty darn good there. At my home center when I grew up(also a2 machines) I’d sometimes go for 2-10 from the 10 pin for the fun of it and make it reasonably often 😊
