in my personal opinion, daniel rosberry for schiaparelli and john galliano for christian dior are the best examples of how to perfectly balance keeping within the themes and codes of an established fashion house but putting a personal touch on it.

It went from wearable clothes for real people to art you can't wear. Nice to look at occasionally, but totally impractical. I prefer classic 40s runway clothes that were incredibly stylish, beautiful, and wearable. This stuff does nothing for me; and unlike everyone else in the comments, I think the last outfit shown, the wings cape, looks overblown and stupid. Oh well, to each their own. I guess our differences keep us interesting.

I think it's just different styles, one is more practical wear the other one is show off pieces that some designer will have to figure out how to sell elements of on garments, while the first one presents what it would actually look like
