In school I remember learning very little about the whole world. The majority of “world history” I was taught was WWI, WWII, the French Revolution, the Enlightenment, and colonization of the Americas. 98% of it was just about the West in fact. And anything about Africa or Asia was the other 2% of what I was taught. Yeah, imo in the US we learn very little world history.

About the college. Nick said USA has best colleges. I agree because if every kid who ever aspired to go to go college he will think of top MIT colleges which are best in USA. They also rank one of the top colleges in the world. I don't agree with malena there. Euro might have best education system. Like free education in Germany and stuff. But if you get offer for top like NYU or some great college from Europe. You'll probably choose NYU.

NYU is nowhere near the level of prestige of Harvard, MIT, Oxford or Cambridge... Colleges for the most part are just marketing the quality of education vs the price is laughable and your degree becomes worthless if you can work in the field you want straight away because your degree is only to put your foot in the door your actual work is what matters in the end. Colleges are a bunch of circle jerking people for the most part making useless "studies" and applaud themselves for it (except for some very specific subjects that no one really talks about) because teaching and researching are 2 different jobs but in colleges they somehow think that proficiency in the second = proficiency in the first...
