The Murdered Out body ✅️ The Upgraded Electronics ✅️ The MT Wheels & Tyres ✅️ The best bit for me personally was when you watched the slo-mo parts of the footage in your workshop ... ... when it landed from a jump - it was so "Life Like" as per a full scale Monster Truck !!! Great achievement and brilliant video Phil. Best for quite a while my friend. There’s none in this, but the shocks have been modded to limit travel, so it’s a bit stiffer than normal

Looks to be running like the diffs are completely locked. Not good with big monster trucks. Open front diff then do the same in the rear, but add some silly putty or poster putty inside the diff to slow it down. Don't worry about 7sing 100,000wt diff oil. It will eventually leak out, make stuff stick all over your axle... And my way is cheaper... Lol Just put in enough into the rear differential to slow the gears down enough to grip, but give a bit when the terrain gets loose. Trust me, back flips, ramps, and all out racing will show better numbers. 😉👍🍻🖖

Another way to remove "Chrome" from kits, is to let it sit in some bleach. Beware to not let it sit to long.

This "murdered out" version is the only way I'd buy this again over a TRX 4M, out of the box the K5 is rather loud, raspy and rides jittery. I see video's of other enthusiast (with the sound of the motor edited out) singing the praises of the K5 and I'm looking at mine wondering if its my own thats the only one with these afflictions and priced too high considering its competition, not for nothing for the money I'd get the Traxxas every time and I'm no "fan man" of the company the 4M is just a better truck for the money. The way you upgraded this makes it better than it was out of the box, I'm not one into improving on what its creators meant it to be other than a few items I find appealing for the truck I drive it how it was assembled as the factory intended and thats pretty much it I make it work for me and use the money saved on upgrading a product that should have been assembled that way in the first place to buy other trucks from worthy manufacturers. What you've done with the K5 is brilliant and I'd buy your version and be willing to pay for it but not the one out of the box the K5 is truly a thing to behold out of the box but only visually that raspy motor and that jittery suspension I will not accept. Thanks for letting me vent Mate and keep those video's coming I find them informative and a basis on what my future purchase decisions will be, thanks again. (Not for nothing but I forgot to mention I got a refund on my on K5).

Usually I'm on board with your vids, but aren't you just modifying the shell and putting it on a different (old version) chassis then upgrading that one? My only gripe about that is you got a brand new vehicle to only use it for the body... your money/sponsor but lame. Kevin has taught you well lol

Cool fact if you want your chrome to come off on your RC models use oven cleaner foam it will come off all the chrome so your left what Matt black parts no sand or Spraying
