Technically both. I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say the motor reminds me of a room in a house; if it’s not big enough I won’t be able to set up drums and a jam space in there, but think of the battery as money for said drums and jam space; without it we have no use for such a big room. Controller could be the conductor, waving his hands everywhere, tellin me what to do lol.

I’ll also add that they definitely all work together, but one thing you can do without the others is a battery upgrade. You can almost always(model depending) over volt and step up a notch in volts on the stock motor and controller and gain a few mph’s 🤙🛒

You can overvolt a standard crazy cart without changing the motor by going to a 36V battery from taxi garage. You can overvolt a XL without changing the motor by getting a 48V. Note that went overvolting an XL that’s newer or made after a certain date it does require a different controller as well. See the link below and explains how I discovered that haha

Yes. You’d be fine at that weight. I think “Razor” gives it a limit of 160lbs, but I’m 200lbs and have no issues.

At 5’8 you’ll fit fine in either I’m sure, but the 4.5 standard size cart is def faster(fastest). It’ll go 30mph. The XL with that 1000W motor and 48V(the stage 4) isn’t gonna go much more then 25mph. Maybe gain 1-2 on slight downhill, but that 4.5 standard all the way to answer your question 👌

To start, with just a bigger battery it’ll go faster, which would only be about $300 from TG, but these can get pricey if your goin all the way. Def upwards of $2k.

I haven’t seen the white one yet personally, but otherwise there’s almost always no differences at all, unless it’s an XL. The DLX has a weird drift bar.

Oh man, I wouldn’t have a clue because I just pull those plastics off for better breathing for the motor and all that, but I’m sure you could find a company to design something. Or I’m sure they’re ways to do it yourself. Plenty of people paint these DIY style 🤙🛒

No, they have several upgrades compared to the stock ones Razor offers. There should be several details under the picture on their website, but I believe a stage 1 comes with the next step up battery(36V), and it can come with optional things like wide casters, custom colors, LED kits, and hardware kits. From Razor you’ll be lucky to squeeze 13mph out of them. The stage one from taxi garage will easily go 18mph, not to mention you’ll get at least twice the ride time before the battery needs charging 🤙🛒 If you decide to pull the trigger on a crazy cart, holler at me, I can lead you to the cheapest stock one from Razor as well 👌

Sometimes you can find them cheaper on Amazon, but often times those prices change and it’ll go right back up to the same cost that it is on razor.com. Just know they’re all the same, excluding upgraded ones that come with upgrades from places like Taxi Garage, and excluding the DLX which has a super weird drift bar, and the XL which is bigger and almost a whole other machine in general 🤙🛒 The XL is super heavy too though so unless it’s a must I suggest the standard size carts, the colors don’t matter either; blue, red, black, they’re all the same.

Dig main difs are size and lb’s. If you don’t have an SUV, truck, or van at your disposal, then getting the XL around is just about impossible, not to mention it weighs over 100 pounds(so not impossible to pick up and move but a pain to lift up high, plus it’s bulky). The standard is definitely more nimble(60lbs-ish) and easier to find places to ride. Like you don’t need big wide open areas or paths like you do with the XL. Plus the standard size fits in the trunk of almost any car 🛒🤙

Make it safer. Those pegs often get hung up on the smallest of things and can cause the cart to flip. I recommend beginners keep them on for a little while though, more of something to do once you really start sending it and moving a little faster.

I think this all depends on how you ride because as we’ve gotten more used to these carts we’ve discovered they made us fall more often then saved us from anything. Now for what it’s worth, we did leave the pegs on the XL we have. That thing operates a little different 🛒🤙

They catch on the ground eventually causing you to flip. They’re originally there to prevent you from flipping, but once you start moving fast and one of those clips an edge where pavements meet, it’s game over 🤙🛒

@dylanmiller3252 I mean, I definitely did, the XL is my favorite, it’s just hard to get around with it to other places without an SUV, van, or truck. The standard is only like 50 pounds and is real easy to maneuver as well as get around with. I think it’s just an ease of access thing for most folks, like the standard just fits so easily into the trunk of a car

@Skittle717 oh yeah man, that’s the worry with those pegs haha 🤙🛒 DEF ditch those and if you can and don’t care about em get rid of the plastics to let the engine breathe a little better too. Seat goin back an inch or so helps if your over like 5’6, but I’d argue it’s necessary if your over 6’0 lol. Now another cheap(but not free mod) I really like is the XL steering wheel on the Standard size cart. Helps a ton with wobble and handling in general 👌 I don’t remember his tag/name, but I got a subscriber to thank for that last idea 🙏
