Believe it or not they may have not had more than a few cats…..it may have been a situation when the owner became injured or disabled and was having extreme difficulty caring for them. May not have been able to give them the same attention to cleanliness they would have before. Whoever it was took the trouble to build the Catio and spent a fortune on cat food and such as that.

I have always lived with cats since I was a child.. Our home growing up never smelled like a litter box. Believe it or not Not every Cat Lady allows them to use the house as a giant Litter Box . Mine have a litter box But prefer to go out through their Cat Door to do their business. So don't assume that what happened here is laziness most likely it's old age combined with illness & no one has been thoughtful enough to help the person through this. Very Sad. By the way I have 7 cats (some are Fosters) and my home in No Way looks like this.

My sister is an animal lover that would take in animals even when she lacked the resources to care for them appropriately. I finally asked her if she was really helping animals if she could not provide adequate food and medical care. I told her you can't save the world, and she should only have one or two animals and provide for them properly instead of six or eight that suffered from her lack of resources. I don't think it is insensitive to admit that someone who can't take care of animals should realize they shouldn't have them because their presence in the home is a hazard to the well-being of the owner and the animals. If you love animals, let people who can take care of them do it and give donations.

That house is NOT a bungalow, it's a ranch-style house with a walk-out basement; some also refer to this style as a raised ranch due to the walkout basement. A bungalow looks a lot more like a Cape Cod style than this house here, but maybe it's different where you are. I used to sell real estate.

As someone who owned a cat, later on he ended up having medical issiues, just started peedling everywhere.. he had diebtees which causeed them to pee everywhere! becuase theyre constantly thirsty soo i mean there couod be so many reasons why this house was the way it was, he lived in the garage eventually, had too. Not sure they have to have 500 cats, just a few can probably cause so much if a mess and fur everywhere. Oh we also used to own a dog too, both died since then. I miss having pet around, but i definitely don't miss the possibly mess or cleaning up after them.
@deannah19829 ай бұрын
Not so much how many cats they had but that they did not care for them properly, nor the house. Some can live with that kind chaos and filth, it’s kind of sad.

Thanks for daring to enter this cat caca castle. Is it weird that I actually like the sound of the breathing? Respirator asmr? It sort of goes along with the creep factor here. That basement was cool though - I like all the brickwork. Hope the cats all went to better homes.😿

Hi Noah, Kimberly from upstate NY. I bet there was dozens of cats there at one time. Definitely a animal horder lived there. You can see that the parquet flooring was soaked with urine.🧡🏚🏘

@cheryls31629 ай бұрын
That must have been a decent house when it was new way back when. The parquet floors must have been beautiful. Maybe that small living area was a rental or just for guests. I would say they probably had more than a few cats. Probably an old person who was too ill to take care of anything anymore. I hope the cats found good homes. The brick in the first half of the basement was beautiful a lot of work was put into that.
@carolali88519 ай бұрын
I'm all for having cats and for rescuing animals that need a home, I'm a huge cat lover, but there is a limit of 6 in Ontario. All the dark areas on the hardwood are likely cat urine stains. There is no way that anyone will get that smell out of the house, it has seeped into every pore of the structure. It would have been a beautiful home and I'm sure it will have to be demolished, no one would be able to live in that. I'd be curious to know if the owner was charged with animal hoarding. I owned 3 cats once and never had that kind of mess so there had to be many more than 3, way more than 10 more likely. That basement is really nice and it looks like it might have been kept cleaner than the upstairs. I'm the outside are is referred to as a "catio" and it shows that the owner cared for the cats and wasn't letting them roam around outside where could be hurt or lost.
@charliea33639 ай бұрын

@nightrider67699 ай бұрын
I think the people were running a cat rescue because my sister does but her garage is where the cats stay but it's nothing like this it's my sister works hard to keep it spotless out there but I love the the basement I mean that was so cool with the brickwork and everything had a walkout so that's that would have been a really nice place back in the state but one thing I know about cat's small you never get it out looks like the upstairs floor in every room had cats were peeing on the floor and not in litter boxes that's their urine turns the wood dark you you will never get that smell out you would have to rip up the floor and replace you'd have to gut the entire upstairs sheetrock and everything to get that smell and then you might not even get it out that place is as the total health hazard it should be demolished sad though something must have happened to the people that were taking care of those cats to let it get to that state.
