"this is basically if you can't do this you shouldn't be diying anything in your car" ...........so brutal but also true.

im halted because of a lost really odd sized locking nut. im not willing to use a non specific one cause last time i did the arm loosened and fell off after about an hour of track driving lol. im just looking for a locking one in that size that isnt $7 each cause i want a full set of spares. that + backorder parts has been very annoying.

its the new ae86. the blue one isnt getting rebuilt for a while lol. and i wanna do this car right

I think your air ride setup is functional, it would be interesting to see your impressions on a track day with that setup once you get the car sorted.
@josephbusby46253 жыл бұрын
My only worry is how fast they system can inflate and deflate....
@sammus14123 жыл бұрын
@@josephbusby4625 You can slow down the deflate side of things by limiting the flow out of the exhaust on the valve block/manifold.

Dudes, I think this is great work. The amount of time you guys have spent on the interior has absolutely payed off, even though the amount shown in that video doesn't even remotely come close to the total time spent in the garage. Love this series, watched all episodes so far! Keep it up.

Even though I am getting new struts, this gave me hope of converting to bags on it at the same time. Thank you guys,
@LXGspec3 жыл бұрын
Super cool vid! I have done the same conversion with AirMext bags on my Blitz coilovers and running the bags with a 3p. Initially I ran sleeve style rear and bellow style front but unfortunately the sleeve style ones are never on the correct ride height at any given pressure, depending on if they were inflated more or less before reaching the desired pressure. Even if you run height sensors they will always end up with different pressures which is why I went full bellow style all round. I highly recommend going with the slim double bellow style if anyone is trying this. (SN120180BL2) The sleeve style ones also have quite some resistance when airing out completely, if you stand on the boot you can literally push em down a bit further!

I use the same Airmex bags on my Caddy and Sonoma. They Sonoma is manual but the Caddy uses the Airlift 3H on BC coilovers. Never had any issues after years. They only issue with the Airmex bags is that the shipping is quite expensive and is a bit slow. I ordered an extra set of bags just in case one fails. Still no issues though 5 of 5, would recommend.

We have levelers like that on semi's. Almost all semi tractors have air ride on the drive axles and when you put an extra 20,000lbs on them, they tend to drop a bit. Give it a few seconds and you're right back at level. I wouldn't be surprised if these are actually very similar to those same sensors (most are actually just valves though)
@samjohnson73253 жыл бұрын
i honestly wouldnt be surprised if these were pioneered by a trucker who looked at em and though it would be rad to have on his benz.

The part at 13:53 had me laughing so hard! The expectation, the long ass pause and then the commentary interrupted but the roaring sound of an alien death ray! 🤣 Amazing set up though! I love that adjustability. I’ve always wanted to try bags but never wanted to fork out all the cash for it.
